Happy New Year! Hope this year brings in happiness and love for all you forumwaasis and the show!
This OS is somewhat similar to my work PriVeer OS-Fire and Ice on Ishqbaaz forum. Also, I haven't read any recent work, so if anyone has posted something similar to this, it's just coincidence.

"Haan hoon main ek criminal, khush?" She had screamed back a few moments ago. He had looked away. He couldn't bear to see the anger in her eyes for him. Not now, not ever. Because her anger only reminded him of the fact that he was incapable of saving her and that now she used this anger to push aside her love for him.
"Neo ne phirse kiya Vidyut pe vaar, kya hai iss Neo ka raaz?" Avni read aloud. Neil's eyes went wide with shock. He gulped nervously.
"Dheerese padho, aur befizool news mat padho, jo articles maine bataye hai, wahin padho. I want you to complete your duty, fast." He muttered, avoiding her eyes that bore into his.
"I am surprised ki Vidyut ki barbadi sunke aap hairan hue officer, kyunki kuch mahine pehle toh inke naam se aapka khoon khaul uthata tha? Kya aapka zameer bhi ek politician ke paiso ke neeche dab gaya officer?" She asked, sarcasm and annoyance obvious in her voice.
The flashes of Vidyut killing Juhi and asking Neil to surrender Avni to him gave back to him. He fisted his palm and breathed sharply. He couldn't afford to lose his control of his emotion. Avni had always been able to read him and had trained herself to read people's mind almost accurately in the last six months. Her anger and indifference seemed like the fire that would engulf him, burning him to ashes.
"You can leave," He said sternly. Usually, Avni would be glad at the thought of leaving his cabin and walking away, because that helped her avoid her surfacing feelings, but today Avni had decided to stay firm.
She knew Neil was hiding something and she had to make sure he wouldn't harm himself or anyone, for that matter, in his revenge. Also, Vidyut had to face her before accepting his final defeat. She wanted to be his destruction.
The room had an uneasy tension as if it was dead winter in there. Both were locking themselves away from each other, yet their hearts seemed to come closer. The wind seemed to be icy cold, the January chills were showing their effects on their skin and their hearts.

Neil looked at Avni who busy worked on the newspaper articles he had asked her to work on. She was angry, he could tell. The snipping scissors tore across the newspaper harshly.
