It had been two weeks since Neil and Avni had spoken

Neil couldn't help but feel regret over his actions, he should have controlled himself but there was just something about Avni that tugged at his heartstrings

He had sent a series of text messages apologising, multiple calls and had even visited her house
He knew Vidyut was leaving today for business

It seemed a good time to go round again


Vidyut handed Avni her smashed phone
"Come to the balcony with me"
Avni stood up, following him

Grabbing her hair he pulled her closer and smashed his lips to hers, biting into her lip she pulled back as he wiped the blood with his mouth

"Sad wife commits suicide in lonely home when husband leaves, I can see the headlines now"
Avni's eyes widened , he was going to kill her

She had wanted this for so long , why was she so scared now?
Neil's face went through her mind

For the first time in her life, albeit a short time she had found someone who cared for her.
Even if they never spoke again she didnt want to leave like this

Vidyut grabbed her and tipped her over the rail
Looking down she knew she wouldn't make it

Oh god he was gonna drop her
All at once she was shoved over the railing, her hands grasped on

"Hold on for as long as you like, theres no one to save you"
Vidyut walked away, running downstairs he got into his car

Neil pulled his car into the drive, Vidyut must have left by now
Banging on the door he shouted Avni's name

"Avni, you cant ignore me forever"
Avni looked down and let out a scream, her hands were getting sweaty

"Somebody help me" Avni cried loudly
Neil decided to walk around the back, climbing over the fence he was in the garden

He couldn't see past the trees but spotted an open window
Climbing in he shouted her name

Avni sighed, maybe Vidyut had came back
"Help " she shouted

Neil heard a scream , running upstairs he got to a bedroom

"Im so sorry Neil" Avni cried as she let go with one hand
Neil shoved the doors open, grabbing her wrist he yanked her up

"Neil" Avni muttered shocked
Neil pulled her to him tight "You stupid woman, do you know how hard these 2 weeks have been, what were you doing down there "

Pulling back he cupped her face
She knew she had to tell the truth
"Vidyut pushed me and left, he smashed my phone to so I couldn't "

"Ill kill him, I will"
Avni grabbed his wrist "No, please just, just take me away from here"

Neil looked torn before nodding his head
Vidyut's time would come, that was for sure

Rejoice for a while! Its time to make Avni strong before she faces Vidyut again

But yes Vidyut will return

Yes! He will help her become strong!

Avni had packed some clothes and necessities, making her way to the car, she sat inside and looked back at the house

Neil had still not spoken, was he embarassed or ashamed? Did he feel like he had to have her at his when he didnt want her there?

"I can go to my family's house" Avni suggested
Without turning his head from the road "No, I want you with me"

Avni felt her heart beat quicker, sighing she rested her head back and closed her eyes

Neil parked the car in his drive, getting out, he walked around to Avni's side
Opening the door, he picked her up gently and walked inside

Lying her on the bed he put the blanket over her
Going back out he brought her suitcase back in and put it on the floor beside the bed

2 hours later Avni woke up, from possibly the best sleep she had in years
"Neil"
Neil walked into the room

"Hey, do you want to shower and change into something comfy and ill order dinner"

"I can cook its okay"
Neil grabbed her wrist "That's not your job here, just relax"
Avni nodded and grabbed some clothes ready to shower

Pulling on a t-shirt and some trousers, she looked at her bruises
She hadnt packed anything long sleeve and had left her make up

Walking out of the bathroom, she stopped
He would for sure think she looked disgusting when he saw her


Neil's eyes widened as he saw all of the bruises on Avni's skin, his blood boiled and he wanted nothing more than to kill Vidyut in cold blood

"Sorry, um I can go elsewhere if you dont want to look"
Neil shook his head, standing up he walked towards her "You're still beautiful to me and this isnt your fault"

"But im covered in"
"Shush, we dont have any negativity in this home"
Avni smiled "Okay, so what are we eating"

Neil scratched the back of his neck "Uh, I can't actually cook, so I was thinking we order something "

Avni laughed , Neil paused, taking everything about Avni in

Her laughter was contagious as he laughed with her
Neil pulled out his phone, ordering some food for the two of them, Neil sat down

"Why are you still stood in the corner"
"Um, you didnt say I could sit so I"

"Avni, you can do whatever you want in this house without asking, I dont own you"
Avni nodded, sitting on the sofa opposite

Neil shook his head and patted the space beside him
Avni stood up slowly and sat next to him, Neil put a blanket over the two of them and put his head back as he switched on the tv

Avni looked over at Neil
Handsome, definitely better looking than Vidyut
