Leila picked up her phone "Vidyut, theres no dead body she must be with Neil"
Vidyut clenched his fist "I'll be back tomorrow, dont worry theres no way she will stay with him for long"

Cutting the phone he looked out the window
"Ill be back baby, dont you worry"


Avni was reading a book when Neil threw himself on the sofa next to her
Peering over her shoulder he read the words beside her

"Do you want to go out"
Avni closed her book, putting it down she turned to him
"Where"

"Anywhere"
Could she ask, or was this to much
"I um, can I go to my parents grave"

"Your parents are dead"
Avni nodded
Neil jumped up "Of course, I can't wait to meet them"

Avni smiled at his gesture and went to get ready
Pulling her hair up in a band she sighed, her bruises were now a greeny yellow

Soon, she would have no marks on her body from Vidyut and that thought left her lots of happiness


Arriving at the graveyard, Neil passed Avni the flowers they had picked up on the way
They walked over slowly to see a woman with long black hair already there

Avni's heart dropped to her stomach

Neela turned to face her

Her eyes filled with tears "Avni, I can't believe its you"
Running over she pulled her into her arms
Cupping her cheeks

"God what has he done to you"
Raining kisses over her face Neela sobbed
"Its so good to see you"

Avni gulped "You dont hate me"
Neela shook her head wiping Avni's tears
"I could never hate you, we have all missed you so much , we looked for you for ages, I knew he was a no good bas***d"

Neela stopped looking at Neil who bent to take her blessings

So Avni explained how Neil had saved her and how they had met

Neela grabbed Neil's hands
"How can I thank you for all you've done for my daughter "
Neil shook his head "Please you dont need to thank me, I did what any good person would"

Neela distantly wished Avni had started her life with a man like Neil rather than a man like Vidyut

Avni placed the flowers next to the gravestone
Kneeling down she traced her fingers across it
"Thank you for sending me a guardian angel, I promise to be stronger and to fight this like you would want me to"

Standing back up she hugged Neela
"Come home with me" Neela begged

Avni shook her head "Not yet, when Vidyut is gone from my life I will come back"
Neil handed Neela his number "Whenever you want to contact Avni, just call anytime or come round"

Neela thanked him
"Stay safe Avni please, we don't want to lose you to"
Avni hugged her tightly, letting go she walked away with Neil

Neil grasped her hand "You are strong, dont ever forget that "
Greatfully she smiled up at him

Oh man DD 😆 he thought Neil gave her bruises he should have known him better . Avni must be so overwhelmed .

I think he knows Neil better but hes wary, because appearances can be deceiving

Neil bit his lip looking at Avni across the table
Tapping his fingers on the cards infront of him he leaned up to see her cards

Avni pulled her chair back, raising her eyebrow
"Got the cards Neil" she asked
Neil looked down at his cards

"Fold " putting them down on the table
Avni clapped "I won "

Neil leaned his chin on his hand and stared at her as she smiled and picked up the cards

"I could lose everytime and I will still win if it makes you that happy"
Avni smiled up at him "Dont be so soppy, it doesnt suit your big business man facade "

Neil looked shocked at Avni's retort
"Oh so thats how you want to play hm"
Avni looked up at him innocently "I'm not playing any games Neil"

Avni turned around, looking at the rain
Her eyes lit up
"I could never go in the rain because my make up would wash off, can we go"

Neil grabbed a coat and gave it to her
Avni wiggled the sleeves "Its big"
"But it will keep you warm"

Stepping outside, Neil rested a hand on her hip and put her hands on his shoulders

Swaying slightly, Avni looked up, closing her eyes she laughed as the rain touched her face

Neil span her around, dipping her, she looked up at him
Everything was different with Neil, better

Vidyut sat in his car
"2 hours Avni and I will be back"


Neil and Avni ran inside
"Go get a towel and I will run you a bath"
Avni grabbed a towel and some clothes

Neil called for her, walking in the bathroom, he walked out

Avni closed her eyes, soaking in the bath
Neil knocked on the door
"Can I come in"

Avni pushed herself further down
"Yes, all okay"
Neil laughed "Yeah, I was just lonely"

Neil kneeled down , grabbing a sponge, he began to wash her back
"Neil, what are you doing"

"Shh, just let me treat you right"
So Avni closed her eyes, and allowed Neil to wash her back
Pouring water down her hair, she put her head back and closed her eyes

Neil's fingers massaged her scalp, Avni couldn't help the fresh tears that made their way down her face

For so long Avni hadn't known what she had been missing
Neil kissed her forehead "I'll be waiting outside"

Avni tried to calm herself down, but couldnt stop crying
She didnt feel worthy of Neil

Eventually calming herself down, she made her way to Neil, sitting next to him
He pulled her to him

Snuggling into his chest, she closed her eyes
Avni had found home, she hoped she could keep it


And Vidyut makes his appearance in the next chapter
And fair warning you will all hate me for what happens, but I guess abuse victims struggle to leave straight away and he still has a lot of control over her, this chapter is dedicated to Avni_Reddy who asked for some Avneil scenes before Vidyut's return

Avni pulled the front door open, Vidyut stood there
Avni gasped, Neil was still asleep

"Its hometime baby"
Avni turned around, wishing Neil was awake
"Let me just get my stuff"

His fingers wrapped around her wrist
"Not that easy, come on"

Dragging her out of the house, she looked back, wishing Neil would wake up


Avni sat in the car, her eyes still remained on the house as Vidyut drove away

Neil woke up not long after to a cold bed, Avni had gone
Neil smashed his hand in the mirror

"Why did you go back Avni" he shouted

Calling DD he waited for him to pick up
"She went back DD, she left me"

DD sighed "You have to keep in mind that maybe she was forced or felt she had no choice, don't let her down Neil, go get your woman"

Avni was thrown to the floor as she arrived in the house
"You've been away living the high life without me hm, cheating I assume, you think Neil wants you, put it together baby, he is a business partner, did you really think he met you accidentally "

Avni gasped, shaking her head
"Neil would never"
Grabbing her chin, he kneeled on her hand
"You thought that about me to Avni, he was working for me all along"

Spitting on her face, he dropped her to the floor, as he walked away he kicked her in the head
