We're in the same boat - I'd also love for the writers to delve into Neil's past.

And no more villains! I'm having a hard time watching Shweta and Rhea as it is!

Anyone excited for today's episode? A 'drunk' Avni trying to persuade Neil for honeymoon will be funny to watch! 😆

Today's episode (Ep 249, 25th July) was a filler, an overdose of Rhea and Shweta, AvNeil had very little screen space today and we didn't get any scene of them together, not even the dining table scene they showed in the precap in yesterday's episode!!!

So everyone got possessed by honeymoon's bhoot, it was too streched they could have spared us all this build up for honeymoon but I guess they were trying to give scenes to side characters 😆

Ali is still a good soul and I think they will never turn him into a negative character, I think Avni's happiness will matter to him despite his hurt and that's true love, so if he will do something it will only be with the idea that his friend isn't happy, once he gets to know she loves Neil, I think he will back off

But how could he believe that Rhea did what she did for him, I know he must be pleased to the idea that Avni isn't in love with Neil but at the same time how could he buy what Rhea said, I mean tarnishing another woman's reputation (Avni's) isn't the way a friend (Rhea) would help you (Ali), what she did is disgusting, and I hope Ali uses his brain and thinks a little about it but it seems these things are done conveniently by CVs to justify characters' reactions and keep Rhea in Khanna's mansion, otherwise why would DD hide who made the call from Neil and how come Neil didn't give it further thoughts and tried to find out who tried to frame his wife!

Now coming to Avni, she seems to have forgotten that her brother attempted suicide two times lately (when he took the poison and the second time in the hospital when he snatched the gun from that police officer), and the reason behind his attempt to suicide is his guilt and the fact that he feels unworthy of love so instead of bestowing her love upon him, helping him to overcome his trauma, the bad influence of Dayavanti, taking care of his studies, making him a better person by engaging him in some ONG, making him feel that people are all equal and that money isn't everything rather love and respect are much more important, she is behaving coldly with him

I know that from his history she thinks that he can do extremely bad things but I feel the attempt of suicide was enough proof to show her how much guilty he feels, so I really don't understand her attitude.

I think they are bahufying Avni, there were some instances post marriage where she behaved like a bahu but since Dayavanti went to jail, she seems to have plenty of time to become a bahu

How I wish Cvs occupied her time with other things instead of bahufying her, the main thing which she came for was her brother, if they gave us scenes with her bother, it would have been way much better than Swetha and Riya plotting. She should also have thought about a career for herself and focused on her relationship with Neil, at least spend time with him if not as a lover as a friend whom she can trust, who helped her a lot, spend time with bebe and Prakash the people who really love her, why is she wasting her time on Shweta, a woman who would point fingers on your character and who you think is plotting against you is so underserving in my point of view, it tells a lot about her personality: a saas can be insecure, utter some bitter words but going to the point of tarnishing another woman's reputation just to oust her of her son's life should have given a clear idea to Avni about what kind of people Shweta is!!

The best scene for me was ACP Khanna's (1min 17 seconds only!), at least he is shown doing his job 😆 He said it once for him duty comes before relationships, I like the consistency about his character, I hope they never butcher it.

@arshisfan

Indian shows bahufy the FL a bit too much making her forgive not only the worst saas but also worst asa fellow human being. Pak serials have some progressive storylines and humsafars deals with the same issue almost perfectly.

Pakistani serials are so much more realistic, and none of the saas-bahu drama we are subjected to on Iandian television.

I think this is Avni's way of 'repaying' Neil for everything he has done - trying to get into Shweta's good books whilst also trying to close that gap between Bebe and Shweta.

I had to skip most of the Shweta/Rhea scenes today!

[Quote=Azalea.]Also, the pace of the show allows viewers to see how characters are developing, how the dynamics of different relationships are changing and how feelings are being recognised and accepted by different characters.

So many compliments for Neil! 😆

How do you think the divorce papers will impact Neil's feelings? I'm hoping there isn't another separation in the works!

@Bold I know they don't drag tracks, but I would have loved them to give more time to some scenes, more clarification, more insight into what characters really feel and think, they do it at times but other times they don't, I know sometimes silence/actions speak louder than words but in some confusing situations we would really like them to show us more of what's going on in leads mind. I'd really like to see more scenes where the leads communicate and discuss things in a deep way.Nock jok, rom-com are all good but the emotional and intellectual connect are more important, as I said they need that to avoid any kind of misunderstandings that might come from outside

@red yes he is different from the other angry young men, or the spinless bystanders

@Blue, I don't know how the divorce papers will impact Neil's feelings, if he misunderstands her, he wouldn't be totally wrong, afterall it's her signature on the papers and obviously he will think that if she signed the papers then she wants divorce but I'd really like him to ask her in a straightforward way whether she really wants divorce and why she signed the divorce papers, he is not an impulsive person and normally people take their time in such important situations so though his fears might come to surface again by seeing her signature, I hope his mature self will ask her before thinking and doing some blunder by signing the divorce papers as well!!. See nothing beats good communication and honesty in a relationship, you get the chance to clarify everything and leave a very small scope for misunderstandings.

@--Amulya--

I haven't watched many pakistani shows, only Humsafar and Zindagui Gulzar Hai, I loved the latter a lot. I have a pakistani friend and she told me about how good pakistani shows are, as Azalea. said they have a realistic approach to things, consistency in characterization and storytelling, they don't change the storyline according to ratings

I fail to understand why on indian tv they keep bahufying female leads, they should stop following the indian mythology and think in a progressive logical way, we don't need mahan female leads, we need them to behave like human beings with feelings and some IQ! I miss the Avni of pre-marriage!
