Hi all. It looks like this forum has been really quiet lately, rightly so too. I started watching Naamkaran with my mom due to the unique concept that was promised to us. I loved Barkha and her scenes with Viraf and the little girl who played Avni was very sweet.

Like the majority of you, I too did not understand why they were backtracking from what they promised us, and finally quit after barkha's exit. I have been following along with the comments made in this forum, and couldn't agree more with everything you have all said.
Today I found out one of my favourite actresses will be playing grown-up Avni post leap- Sonal Vengurlekar. I started liking her due to her portrayal of Survi in Yeh Vaada Raha from Zee TV. YVR as we call it was also a show with great potential and a beautiful lovestory of Kartik and Survi played by Ankush Arora and Sonal Venurlekar. The chemistry between these two actors was amazing and the scenes that tackled their deep emotions was amazing due to the palpable chemistry of the actors.
With the addition of Sonal Vengurlekar, I do believe this show will get a well-deserved makeover while reminding us of what we originally came here for.
With Yeh Vaada Raha, a serial with the usual unbearable evil shenanigans, and the emergence of an unrealistic superwoman avatar here and there, it was the story of Kartik and Survi that shone and stole the show. Sonal Vengurlekar's ability to carry out emotional scenes was fantastic, and her palpable onscreen chemistry with Ankush Arora made it even better.
I am really hoping Naamkaran will find its way back to what we originally hoped for. They have the talent, as they had when they originally started- it is now all up to the CVs to follow through. 😊

I've added a little edit I made on Sonal Vengurlekar recently with Ankush Arora. Their chemistry reminded my of Jennifer and Gautam's from Saraswatichandra.
