after the weekend, we clearly know where veer's feelings are for bani. i mean, we knew them before but i think the last two episodes really solidified his feelings for her because even though she harmed his mother, he decided to listen to what she had to say and then even after that, he said i know you don't lie, so i'll take your word for it and we'll figure this out together. see, veer always said he would take her side no matter what but it's easier said than done. however, he proved himself this weekend yet again and stuck by his words. we know how he has felt and now it's obvious that no matter what, veer will always be on her side helping her.
bani however has been like a coin flipping when she wants to. her feelings have been all over the place. she felt something for veer but would always suppress them because of jay and her obligations towards him. when she found out veer saved them when they were younger, that's when she softened towards him. the true game changer i feel though was when she saw him with his mom. she saw him as this normal human who has feelings and previously she could only see him as akesh so after mom's entry, she saw veer for veer.
bani asking veer to take her side might have come off as manipulative but i personally felt like she was just picking up on a promise he made her. he always said he'd be on her side and that he trusted her so bani was simply taking him up on the promise, i don't think there was anything more to it. she was vulnerable because she realized there was no one on her side and veer would be the only one now. i think she was scared he'd say no and then she'd have to face him too. i think those thoughts were overwhelming her.
coming to yesterday's episode specifically, bani defending veer to jay felt like it was coming. she has defended veer to jay slightly, but this time she could do it freely. after jay's reveal, bani is more inclined to take veer's side publicly because previously, she couldn't do so because she thought she owed jay. now she doesn't owe jay anything, she doesn't have to pretend in front of him. she was already starting to think veer was not bad but she couldn't voice it out properly due to these strings attached to jay. now that the thread broke, she can defend veer. there's nothing holding her back.
bani doesn't love veer. there is no love yet. she was worried about him. she also feels indebted to him because he saved her. she is definitely attracted to him to a certain level, but love, i don't think so. bani accepts the marriage, she takes it seriously now like how previous naagin's did and she also trusts veer, especially after this situation. however, i don't think there's any love yet. it's the attraction that will eventually build up to love.
bani doing the tandav was more out of not having any other way to save veer since she couldn't get out. the first thing they resort to at times like that is tandav. so bani did that because she didn't want anything to happen to him because she worries for him, she has always been worried about his wellbeing even when she has tried to kill him. she probably also feels that she owes him for all the times he's saved her. on top of that, she roped him into this so it's her duty to make sure he's okay. when you're stuck in a place like that with no way out and your husband who has saved you a million times is in danger technically because of you and you can't inform them, i think it makes sense to do a tandav for them and their wellbeing. it doesn't have to equal love.
i don't quite know how things are going to play out for them but bani will melt more for veer, the attraction will build and the trust will solidify. love will come, but when, i don't quite know. i just hope they don't rush it because i don't feel the love and it would be very vague and forced to have bani love him in the next episode or something. the slow build up needs to be there. i know there's only been build up but it was weak, she only hated him for the last 30 episodes, i think they need her to slowly fall because she's not veer who will instantly fall for him.
