Okay. Here's my view on this whole Rocky naag saga.

See , it would've been very good if they would've decided to turn rocky into a naag early on the show, but they decided to introduce Rudra.

Then, when we demanded the Drashiv naag-naagin love story , they definitely gave that .

The 2nd part.

They made, rocky...a saanp(can't force myself to say naag).

Not just that.

Takshak Naagraj, who can apparently FLY.🤣

Now, making rocky a naag earlier in the show without introducing Rudra would've given him a purpose and make him popular.

But turning him into a snake turned out to be futile.

Mostly due to the following reasons:

1) It was very apparent that the cvs really didn't have any more ideas to run the show in the much apparent extension period , so they decided to make Rocky a naag suddenly because they thought a naag-naagin love story would be more interesting than a normal human-naagin love story they showed all the S1 and now in S2 till the pre-leap.

2) They thought that turning Rocky into a naag will give them their S1 trps back and also increase the popularity of Kvb, who had lost all the respect he garnered by playing viraj and aahil.

But in the process , KVB had to lose his all self respect .I bet when Miku and Nonu grow up, he won't be able to say them that he did this role🤣

3) Since the metamorphosis of Patthar into King Cobra was so sudden without any signs in the pre-leap days(some may argue that he did show signs),many people wondered W*F with this show.Plus many didn't really like this Rocky and post turning into a snake, people got turned off by the fact that the useless Rocky has turned into a snake instead of Rudra re-entering .

They couldn't tolerate the crap so switched off .

4) Even though Rocky turning into a naag has been very hilariously torturous from the moment it happened, I believe they could've gained back some audience if they could handle it properly, though it was very difficult to compare the post leap happenings with the pre-leap ones.

But still, since in India, people just watch anything that's "INTERESTING", this new track had a lot of potential.

But they ruined it with same kkb inspired misunderstanding .

Plus there are following reasons that doesn't concern Patthar:

1)The unnatural come back of Yamini.

I was once a great fan of Sudha Chandran.

Sorry, but post leap and with the weird revival of Yamini that makes no sense, I can't tolerate her anymore.

Even after they brought her back for S2, after getting her killed by Shivanya , I was kinda happy and entertained by her performance and considered her to be my top reason to watch the show along with adaa and kinshuk.

But post leap, her character has lost the charm which Yamu had even in S2 preleap and now just gives me headaches.

Plus her makeup. I don't like her anymore and want yamini to die.

2) Unnatural revival of Sesha. It's apparent that Sesha was once an interesting red herring that brought thrill to the show, and her progression to negativity as a result of jealousy was quite natural and thrilling in S1.

But what does the writers do to red herrings?

They kill them off!

Well , though I thoroughly enjoyed Adaa's performance in S2, I must say that I kinda found her presence unnecessary this season.

More than that, her obsession with Patthar without any reason.

I think they should've killed her off at the end of S1 itself, but due to trp reasons, she was brought back.

Well, I kinda understand her anger over Shivanya for Ritik, but I don't know why she's fighting with her niece over a silly piece of rock.(Now we know, he's the snake king)

But when she was turned into patthar , I heaved a relief that the game has ended coz I was finding increasingly that she's too a unnecessary headache.

Then EK brought her back in the most illogical way.

So illogical that even trp aunties couldn't digest properly.

Plus her entry wasted the entire potential of the already highest degree absurd Rocky naagraj track and did irreparable damage to the entire future prospects of the show.

That's why , adaa's booming re-entry lowered the trps instead.

2) Last season , we had some exciting villains like the Mathurs and Suri and not to mention, anky(Manish Khanna was back for an explosive cameo which was, in my opinion, 2nd best to rudra)

Well, Ramya mathur was kinda similar to tanya's mom , but at least the former didn't force me to beat my head against wall.

Tanya's papa is a comic villain , but half as interesting as anky.

Puts me to sleep.Yawn.

The less we say about Rocky's father , the better it is.

This guy isn't good looking. Ok don't have to.

He's a villain.

But he's so bad looking that you'll need an aspirin if you stare at his face for long . Especially if you've 32 inch LED tv like me and you're watching the show on colors hd.

And tanya.

She's boring, she's useless , she's ugly...She's every thing you'll find in a substandard roadside food stall in HongKong.

I mean, she's meant to be a villain, but couldn't they find a more pleasant looking girl.

Staring at her smashed pumpkin face for long makes me vomit.

And jadunath...He's a good actor but I don't like him.

Simple.

Now coming to Patthar himself.

Don't kill me off but here's the truth.

KVB and Kinshuk are equivalent in acting talent.

Both have shown immense growth, shades and characterization in each of the role they've done.

While KVB had a high point as Viraj Dobriyal, Kinshuk perfected the role of Rudra the Naag.

Both of the roles are immensely tough.While kvb had to play mental patient, kinshuk had a challenge of doing a role that had been mostly done by women.

Not that males haven't done it, but to various degrees of failure.

Kinshuk proved to the world that naags DO work.

Now, let's come to what character Miku-Nonu's dad has been given.

Rocky is a character very much inspired by Baywatch and rotten reality shows like Splitsvilla and to extent, Bigg Boss(which I admit, was fave show till S8)

He's a useless character kept there only to romance the heroine and make fangirls drool over him.

Kinda the fiction counterpart of Prince Narula and to some extent, Gautam Gulati.

But then , you can't compare Naagin with Bigg Boss , though they both come in seasons at around the same time.

So obviously, he tanked.

Instead of being amazed at his body, women got turned off -because of his personality of course.

I know , male leads of Hindi serials don't have any purpose other than being the husbands of the heroines and occasionally scream at them.

But, you need substance in your role other than being an eye candy to female viewers , which Rocky lacked at the 1st place.

Do you know why Ritik was SO popular?

He really didn't play much part apart from being a foil to shivanya's revenge until much late into the story , but he had at least some personality and his role as the Suryavanshi successor was predetermined beforehand , so we can say he had substance to back himself up as a character.

But Rocky is just for skin show.

And as far as I know, KVB is an artist who would do justice to substantial male lead roles , but unfortunately , he can't really pass off skin show as acting , unlike Vivek Dahiya or the aforementioned Prince.

He's not that type of person, and it's just apparent in his face that he's not comfortable with the skin show for the sake of it.

Now, there was a chance where the cvs could bring the best from kvb as they turned Patthar into King cobra.

But they wasted that opportunity by again deciding to emphasize skin show and giving him a loose dhoti.

Instead of being applauded , kvb has now become a laughing stock.

Feeling sad for miku-nonu and his wife.😭

And yes, it's a very good idea to launch finite weekend shows.

But due to trps, the channel gave the show too much extensions until the show begged Ekta to put an end to it.

But only to be back with a second season.

Since they had no idea to do it properly, so the cvs took the whole naagin 1 plot and hero and vamp from kavach and mixed it up.

But the channel pulled the show too much that now people can't wait to see the end of those show and the franchise too .

And the audience drop was expected.

They've watched the show for goddamn many weeks without any new or interesting happening.

Rocky's metamorphosis into snake was a lame, but somewhat interesting plot twist that could've improved the show but got wasted .

So who will waste their valuable time on this shit, though even those ipl matches are fixed.

But at least the fixing isn't that apparent like the sudden decision of turning rocky a naag. Plus this show happens at weekends , so nowadays even loyal viewers are forgetting about it.

Sigh.

RIP Naagin.

Your creator dug your grave and now arranging own pyre.

as a human they made him brainless even as a naag he is brainless...i guess when EK wrote rocky's character...she forgot to give him a brain...

the only good thing...kv-mouni looks beautiful and has a good chemistry...i am talking abt kv-mouni...roshiv god knows what is actually their story is abt...seriously its annoying...they remind me of anurag-prerna and mihir-tulsi revisit in which there is lack of trust and support

everyone has written their views...complaints...why not list down one more possibility of decrease trps 'naagin craze is over...the show has lost it charm...the craze is breathing its last'...thats the real fact...as a naagin fan myself confessing the show has lost it charm...no matter who re-enter...nothing is going to work...the only way to save its charm is a strong script...story otherwise no matter who re-enter...ArNi makes a grand comeback or kinshuk-mouni becomes the lead couple or any new ML or cast arjun-kv-kinshuk together...nothing is going to work at all...the show is going downhill due to its script..plots and storyline weakness...the only way to bring it up...the show needs a strong script...plots and storyline to hook the viewers...otherwise S3 will not even have the No 1 position after S2 disaster

Rocky turning into a saanp would have been good twist if they had paved the way for that twist. They suddenly turned him into a snake which looked very forced and hence flopped.

BTW, I disagree with you about Shesha's betrayed feelings for Shivanya and Ritik. Ritik was always Shivu's husband. She had no right on him. No right to feel like Shivanya betrayed her by being with Ritik. No right to feel like Shivanya stole Ritik from her. Shesha is just a delusional git.

She "fell" in love with ritik when she was having close moments with ritik in guise of shivanya.

Ritik was always the husband of shivanya rightfully, and hated sesha even when she sided with yamini.

She always assumed that ritik is hers.

The thing I was saying that it was somewhat logical in Sesha's point of view about her feelings that shivanya betrayed her by loving "her" ritik.

But why she's after Patthar now?

Now, it was logical for sesha to fight shivanya for ritik's love considering that it's one of the favourite themes of trp audience .

But why repeat the same with Patthar and Shivangi?

May be it's a way to show that a shameless woman won't have two thoughts about romancing her nephew-in-law but I actually find Sesha's "true love" for patthar yawn-inducing.

BTW, blame it all on Colors.

They've a tendency to do make same type of serials at the same time.

The time naagin was launched , all of their shows had 2 sisters fighting tooth and nail.

So while that was boring to hell, the Colors twist to the Naagin ka badla show was unique enough to make the show super hit.

But then, the show went gold and the channel gave it so much extension that now nothing is left of the plot.

Plus this 2 naagins idea ultimately pushed the show towards its sad demise.

And sadly, the channel hasn't stopped even now.

After being 2 sisters channel , they went on become the andhvishwas channel, then the love child of animal planet and star plus, and then now khoon ka badla channel.

Yes, after launching naagin, all of their shows nowadays have the FL taking "revenge " against their sasumaas🤣

Not only that, after launching a crappy "Baadla" version of bidaai named ek shringar swabhimaan(sadly, though being rajshri show, lacks Alok Nath), they went ahead to launch a revenge drama version of Dil Mil gaye 🤣 , weirdly named Savitri Devi Medical College and Hospital(or something like that, I don't remember )

Tsk, colors.

You people are digging your own way towards extinction.

Even the other GECs are crap, but still they've some diversity in content.

And ekta, can't do the 2 sisters thing (I think we know what happened to bulbul in KumKum Bhagya)

You're correct, KVB ain't the problem here. It's the creative team's fault that they couldn't make him an attractive character for a major portion of the show's airtime.

But right now, the character is doing good IMO. Yeah he needs a reality check soon enough; but the thrill quotient has upped greatly.

I wish Sesha dies soon though; she's getting hopelessly repetitive. Even kala khatta and biryani lose their charm when overdosed upon. 😆
