ssk, many of the people you are talking to over here have been following Anwesha earnestly since CU, and watching every video that is posted on her in youtube. No-one here is an astrologer, so no-one can predict what will happen in the future. Like roobaroo rightly said, many talented singers have got lost in the crowd and could never reach the peak of success.

A lot depends on fate. Shreya and Sunidhi came at a time when Lataji and Ashaji's careers were just sunsetting. They had to compete mainly only with Alka Yagnik. Bollywood was looking for fresh young voices and they both fit the bill perfectly. So yes, Anwesha has a much bigger challenge ahead of her as it would be extremely difficult for her to compete with them, especially since her voice and style of singing is similar to Shreya's. But I don't think that she has any less potential than them. If Anwesha was born earlier and came into the industry at the time Shreya did, it would have been more advantageous to her. And if Shreya was younger and came at a time that Anwesha did, she would have faced bigger challenges. So ultimately it is all a game of luck, fate and chances even if there is talent.

Exactly what i wanted to write. She has to do/be something 'Hatke' from what shreya ghoshal is doing,because their voice quality is quite similar. there is not much age gap, so the difficulty for anwesha to get a break in Bollywood is tough.
I only wish, pray that she gets enough success where ever her future leads her..whether it is classical music, albums, Bollywood or internationally.

Anwesha is a very average singer.Channel is just promoting her,i do not know the reason,she is not at all singing well,i heard her "kora kagaj tha yeh man mera" .It was a pathetic performance.Only debo was good in that song,i found some anwesha fans here who are blindly supporting her.

Hello gupigayen,
Your status says you are a newbie and it seems you know a lot about CU days. I don't know any history about that program so I can't talk much about it. Anyways I didn't know there is a competition between fans. That will be nice Fans Ka Maha Muqabala. That is one less thing in this all hungama show. Please support your favorite and wish her/him well. Don't you agree? Both the girls are sweet and it is personal preference who you like more.

shreyacool, I've seen you post this over and over again. But do you really think that Shreya is so cool? I myself have found Shreya the coolest after the great Lataji. She has always been on the top of my favorites list since the past decade. And one day somebody sent me a link of Mere Dholna sung by Anwesha. The reason I got so attracted to her was that she reminded me of Shreya. That was the biggest reason that I wanted to listen to her even more. I can assure you that every person on the fan list of Anwesha is also a very big fan of Shreya and find her very cool too. So it is difficult for me to understand your feelings about Shreya. And as I heard each of Anwesha's renditions in CU, I found her perfection personified. She has tremendous potential and that's why I want her to succeed. But that doesn't mean that Shreya has lost her place in my heart. I still love her as much.

And with regards to creating her own identity, as I see her grown up, I see a jhalak of Kavita Krishnamurthy in her voice especially when she sings Kavita's songs. I would consider Kavita as another great singer of today. A combination of Shreya and Kavita would be mindblowing! But yes, she really needs to cut down on her shows and concentrate on her riyaaz so she can fulfill her dreams and ours for her.
