U said my words. Even I feel anwesha is a combination of kavitha and shreya😊. Though she sounds similar to shreya, i felt she has a beautiful voice of her own and i believe and hope, she makes it big in bollywood or whichever path she chooses.⭐️

Just listen both anwesha and shreya carefully then decide..it is NOT true that anwesha sounds similar to shreya.Shreya ghosal does not have range which anwesha have.For example did u ever listen shreya singing mere dholna full song with all the sargams in a LIVE show?? I am a huge shreya fan,i do attend her every show in kolkata,i never heard shreya singing mere dholna with all the sargams..but look at anweshaa @ the age of 13 she sang this song with so much ease,I am not saying anwesha is superior than shreya.Anwesha is 16 and sreya is 26.A long way to go for anewsha.

Now coming to your point Anwesha sounds similar to Shreya.

The USP of sreya's voice is melody,she can sing soft romantic numbers with superb expressions.But I have never seen shreya attempting a cabaret song.You can not say shreya is a versatile singer.Sunidhi chauhan is more versatile.

Anwesha's voice is a combination of power,range,melody.She can sing almost any song..be it asha,lata,kavitha,chitra,sunidhi,shreya,Anwesha can sing any song and she already proved that.She is a true versatile singer.

How can they sound same??

And one more thing i would like to add here anweshaa always use those microphones which is generally used by male singers.And shreya and some other female artist use microphones made for females.Female microphones are much more sensitive than a male microphone.

Again let me clear you i am neither comparing anwesha with anybody nor trying to prove she is the best.She has just started her career and i want to wish her all the success in her life.

Shreyacool, I'm sorry to say, but you are sounding rather repetitive. What is uniqueness? Every singer has an idol. Sonu's idol is Rafi and he started his career singing all Rafi songs. And yet, he is the most successful and I will say the best playback singer in the music industry today. Whenever we hear these singers in reality shows, we hear them singing other singers' songs. So we are always reminded of the original singer.

The richness and power in Anwesha's voice along with melody and sweetness is rare to see. She is a rarest of rarest gem.

"The thing is we re too narrow minded to accept the fact that shreya will replace lataji. It is bcoz so many decades we hav been listening to lataji only. Shreya sang latajis song "yeh zindagi usiki" in MKMM, and u have to agree that she sang it much better than the original!"

Exactly what I was going to say! There was another statement by Shreyacool in the Shreya appreciation thread,

"SHREYA GHOSHAL, THE NEW NIGHTINGALE OF INDIA"


which I kept myself from commenting on. Lataji is like a Goddess to many of us including Shreya. Saying such things is not only insulting Lataji, but also hurting Shreya.

Sorry to shreya's fans, but I want to say something I have been listening to shreya's voice for long I really like her voice it sweet and melodious but she doesn't have pain in her voice or atleast I don't find. Even in a romantic song if u hear carefully u find pain but shreya's voice lacks that. I prefer kavita's and alka's voice then shreya's. About anwesha best of luck to her, as many here I too have started liking anwesha after her perfomance of mere dholna.

Well that's what I was thinking! Abhijit, Kumar Sanu, Babul Srpriyo, and many others reagarded Kishore Kumar as their idol and somehow copied him. So it's nothing new, Anwesha definitely can sing songs by Asha Bhonsle, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Alkaji, and many others. She has done a beautiful job every single time. I am very happy that I had the opportunity to hear her in person few months ago, she sang mere dholna and it was just as beautiful as it was on CU.

Another masterpiece from Anwesha. Another Richa sharma song... and I have not seen anyone singing better than anwesha this song.
