Octopus Musical Series Launch - Page 8

Been following this forum for 2-3 months now, first reply here. Couldn't resist commenting on the Arudeep debate.

Earlier when II started, during the Govinda episode days, my wife used to be the one teasing about Arudeep and I would comment saying that this is just on-stage chemistry between two good artists. Then 2-3 months ago, around the same time I started following IF, I also started following PD and AK on Instagram, and then came the fan pages. Having now seen their off-stage chemistry, their body language, and so on, I now definitely believe something more is at play here.

As you follow fan pages and comments in IG, you learn about small tiny things that fans notice - and then you go and verify that yourself. How their actions are in sync, how the nuances are communicated through eye-sights, non-verbal communication between them, etc. For example in one of the live interview how AK knows PD is looking for his phone when he has only just glanced to his side without making any obvious hand movement. Then the things about the jacket, phone, ring, masks (Piyazz has pointed out in other threads), PD protecting AK from some random selfie hunter during the Octopus event. The famous Ashaji episode where AK was so intently watching PD - you can find this all over the IG fan pages. How AK is always the happiest when PD does well and most concerned when he is signing singing a song we know is going to be difficult for him. Innumerable bread crumbs that join together to form a trail of evidence.

And their music. Anoushka or somebody mentioned in a thread and I agree - how much they are on cue even when singing ex tempore and unrehearsed. It is as if their heart beat is in sync. You can see this in all the clips for the Octopus event floating around, or even in the unrehearsed O Saathi Re during the Antakshari in the finale. Their voices match as if the universe sat with a tuning fork to create two a pairs pair of matching vocal cords.

I have told my wife - these two always remind me of how she and I fell in love when we first met. Those of you who have been there know what I mean - you just know this is it. There are no questions, no doubts.

Sorry, long and perhaps a bit over the top. But I genuinely believe these two are destined to be together. I sincerely pray that God gives them the maturity to handle the different trajectories that their careers are bound to take.

Any reason sir, why you feel so about Arijit/Sunidhi. Both have aced their performances in the industry. Is it something to do with their personal life trajectory?

Sunidhi married at 18, was disowned by her parents and separated at 19. She remarried 9 years later.
Arijit married co-contestant Ruprekha Banerjee in 2013 and divorced the same year. He subsequently remarried in 2014.

Shreya Ghoshal dated her husband for 10 years. He is an entrepreneur, unconnected with ShowBiz.

Eighteen is an age - where your most vulnerable. And, as we were told by her mother - Arunita did not go out much and her mother is her best and maybe only close friend. So when you are out for 10 months, staying with young people, and you get lot attention from someone, then you are bound to fall for that person. And heart matters are never reasonable or sensible. It's their life, as 18 is considered adult officially. But the role of parents is very important, at this tender and impressionable age - to make them realize the pros and cons of it and try their best to make young ones understand.

An alternative view - considering she has spent a lot of time with older women (even Mrs. Kanjilal said that in the post-finale interview with FilmyKhichdi), probably her maturity is beyond her age. I consider this as plausible.
