I base this on the Bengali interviews that Arunita gave on her return home. This is not on thin air. And it is par for the course for other seasons.

We don't know how much hype has got attached to the contestants this year. We can't judge. I was reading comments on a neutral forum yesterday and most thought that the contestants were, by and large, not very special. Fans always build the wrong impression. And fans were aplenty this year. Very attached fans. So this group will be judged for talent by the market. If nothing happens other than stuff using their popularity then what I say will hold. But I hope I am proven wrong. I always, do. Every year. All I see is sliding IG followers year on year till some hit big time.

Pawan is a gifted musician and other contestants also vouch for Ashish's song creations. Friend hai to motivate karenge. But all have musical knowledge so I believe achha hi hoga

Success is one hit song at least amongst the many you have to sing before that happens. You can deserve success but you may not get the opportunity to pursue success.

Frankly, I will be over the moon if any one of them get that kind of success overnight. Or in 1 or 2 years. Unless you are as lucky and talented as Shreya, you will struggle it out no matter how deserving you are. That is why there is always a cooling off period where you sustain yourself with income generating activity and wait for the big break.

But I wrote my note to say how her personal life is likely to pan out in the near future. If she braves it out and stays at YWCA Mumbai and knocks on doors for a break anything can happen. But honestly does anyone think that will happen with her?

My personal opinion their popularity will work for concerts and if at all their individual albums. But real playback has nothing to do with popularity in my opinion. It's upto the music directors or filmmakers to believe these contestants have what they want. If music directors choose by popularity Neha should be singing more playback than Shreya or Sunidhi which never happened. We have to wait for couple of years to know what music directors think about these contestants. Till then all 15 are in same boat in my opinion except those who has good regional network to get them going in their careers.

I have seen these things before. My take from that is - this is what will most likely happen. (I will use Arunita as an example because she I know best amongst the lot.)

2021

Arunita will spend September giving some interviews, appearing on some regional TV channels (if her contract permits) for morning shows, may get a shot at Sourav Ganguly's "Dadagiri" show and spend the rest of the time getting college admission, join a driving school if she can wake up, and take the 2nd dose of Covishield. If she is very lucky she will record a Durga Puja song with someone big - like Jeet Ganguly.
In mid October she will participate in one, or more, Durga Puja shows and then travel to London. Post UK, she will travel to Canada and USA for shows. If the lady at the Octopus show (Rani Jamal) has her way, she will also perform in Kenya.
By mid November Kedarnath will be under 5 feet of snow and plans will be shifted to 2022!

By end November Pawan will hire a 2 Bedroom flat in outer Navi Mumbai where Mumbai visiting alumni will night-over and jam. She will overnight with her Mummy if she has to visit Mumbai.

December she will record some Bengali songs and maybe record a song in Mumbai that will finally be sung by Shreya Ghoshal and not be included in the released movie.
Octopus will hire a few artificial snow-clad trees, shoot 20 videos in Bosco Martis studio against a green background and buy Kashmir and Himachal backgrounds in 4K resolution to spread magic.

December end she will do a big gig in India/abroad 3rd wave permitting!

She will book her blue Maruti Alto for delivery of her 1st car in 2022.

Baki ka unees - bees same hoga in my opinion.
PD will get more gigs through the year and will move permanently (till 2023 at least) to Mumbai. He will sing more songs for HR's mood upliftment for free.

EDIT: Oops! Forgot the great KSS on Sony! This AR-PD is just perfect masala for Kapil. Throw in an appearance sometime this year as a cert!

What a dampening scenario! 😔. But going by the track records & stats of previous Idol winners & finalists, this is quite plausible. I mean look at Salman,Sunny, Ankush, neelanjana, ankona…😔.

And this batch though more talented has it tough, with the covid waves stage shows will also be limited for a few more months at least in India & Gulf countries.

Bollywood has nosedived. One trash after another - a staggering industry means limited investment which implies again limited opportunities. And OTT releases don’t require song-dance routine a la KJo in a grand scale.

So far at least 3 of them lucked out since octopus looks like the best bet if baraf & mausam turn kind 😄

And one more thing you missed - appearances in the next season of IDOL 2022 maybe. 😀

This..that's y I think octopus deal is the best opportunity. One song is going to release soon. Others will be shot in Kashmir.

Till movies and concert scenario improves world over this will keep them in the limelight.

IMO they should do their own collaboration too..

Fans will enjoy it. Ashish posted something like who all will be interested if I organize a virtual concert..so that's one good option..their own creations

My take out from the interview - 'Arudeep' is only for Aru-PD duets, nothing beyond that. There is no special friendship with anyone, all 15 are equal to Aru. 😊

Nihal is a fun loving person (just like me 😛) He makes interesting comment about Arudeep for a friendly leg pulling of his friend Aru and PD as Arudeep fans want them to be discussed in this way, 😆 not because Aru and PD have any special relation. Nihal used to make fun with PD on this earlier as well. I found Nihal's intention is purely for fun.

Arudeep relationship beyond duets is Arudeep fan's Utopia in your language 😃😊
