"I am game for anywhere, you take a call", said Wendy. "Alright, I have certain groceries to drop at home, it would take me a minute, then we would be on our way", said Dewy.

"Sure".

Dewy progressed homeward, and messaged someone at the same time.

When they reached home, a small group of people were thronging the house gate. Dew bolted out of her seat, and went to the passenger door and held the door open for Wendy.

" I would be really glad if you could meet my family, they wanted to make an acquaintance with you, more so when I told them that a special someone writes new verse for me everyday, as a tribute to my birthday approaching." She gave a small smile.

Wendy was very offended. This was not what she had in mind. And the last thing she wanted was to people to notice her. She hated Dew at that moment, and wanted to disapparate from there at that very instant.

But then, she thought of something.

"What the heck!! Why should I be the one to shirk away? This is a heaven sent opportunity. Let me see how Dew reacts to her family's reaction to me. I cannot get a better opportunity to see how she actually feels about me. "

Wendy slowly stepped out of the vehicle. Dew was already reaching for her broomstick. She handed over the broomstick to Wendy, and urged her forward.

Wendy gave a quick look to the small group standing huddled at the house gate. She saw them looking cautiously over to the duo approaching them. Some of the people standing at the back were craning their necks to see the two people approaching them. One face they were very familiar with, the other, a small, shrivelled, caped figure, with a broomstick in hand, looked'strange.

Wendy approached them, and saw a middle aged lady, with a benign face, standing with a toddler in her arms.

She felt Dew's hand at her elbow, urging her on.

"Mama, I would like you to meet Wendy, better known as Skep, a very special friend of mine."

Wendy slowly removed her hood, and looked up to meet Dew's Mother in law's eyes.

A collective gasp went up in the air. The toddler started crying in earnest.
