It was a rather busy morning. Dewy had to catch up on several things. The last thing she wanted to do was to go to the supermarket for grocery shopping. But the Home front was important and so this chore had to be done. Her meeting with an important client was in half an hour. Anyway, much of the list had been taken care of. It was now just a dash to the car and she would be on time for the appointment.

She collected her bags after paying her bills. As she turned, she saw a figure in the corner ahead of her. The figure came forward. It seemed to be a woman. She was wearing a long black dress; she had a stick in her hand; she was wearing an old grey straw hat. Her head was bent.

"Excuse me," said Dewy.

The head lifted. Dewy saw a pair of green yellow eyes staring back at her. There were two prominent warts on her face, one on the chin and the other above the right euebrow. Her hair was like grey and ochre with a rough texture. Her free hand lifted.

"Hello Dewy," said the woman. Please continue: ---------

Dewy, you a vegetarian??? I'm a vegetarian too. By choice. A very strict one. I dont believe in killing something to appease my hunger. So we can start a DKE club (Don't Kill to Eat) It'll be much better than that DEC you have floated.🤢

Friends thanks for grilling Ena madam to the core😃...I was thinking of extending this thread for one more week😈..but then got some pity on her😉😆...

So I would like to thank Ena whole-heartedly for answering her questions with so much grace,poise and confidence ..not to forget that extra added humour too👏

Hey yes, me a veggie too.. and coincidence again, strictly by choice.. am totally open for the DKE Club.. and I agree, it would be much more signifcant than the DEC Club.. 😉

Dewy froze on the spot, staring at the upturned, knarled hands. She stared, words got tied in her throat. Finally, her voice came out in a squeak.. "Wendy'" That's all she could manage at the moment.. her thoughts deserted her.. This could not be Skep, the brightest star of the forum, the mind behind the amazingly high level of creativity which infused the forum, the beautiful person who was so attuned to every little shift in any of her friends' emotions online.

This was not the person who could relate so well to sensitivity.. this couldn't be, just couldn't be'

She cleared her throat again.. "Wendy/Skep, is that really you?"

"Yes Dear Dewy, its me.. you do not how long I have desired for this one run-in with you. And if you ask me, I have been keeping an eye on you. And I thought today was the right moment to introduce myself.. "

Dewy watched her closely..she saw the glint in Wendy's eyes.. she knew that Wendy was aware of her present schedule. She made a decision. She shook the offered hand, and held on it..

"Wendy, I cannot be happier seeing you here at this moment..no day could have been more opportune for our first meeting, and I think you also know that, hence the fact that you too have decided upon today.

But we have to follow a certain protocol. Are you open to my suggestion?"

Wendy squinted at Dewy, " I m listening.."

"I want you to take a seat in my vehicle. And I would like you to take the passenger seat while I drive, the one which is diagonal to the driver's seat. And I want your broom to be placed between us diagonally, so that we form an X formation.."

Wendy thought a moment and relented. She and Dew took their respective positions in Dewy's vehicle. Her broomstick lay in an opposite diagonal between them.

They started. Dewy asked, " So, would you look to suggest some place for us to sit down and talk, or do you want me to take the call on that one?"

Part I over. Part II coming tomorrow, same time, same place. ' 😊
