The next day

nupur and gunjan with dia driving reached the police station and samrat with mayank and suhani also came there. Bauji and nupur had ignored each other thoroughly since morning and bauji said he would drive later.

Gunjan wheeled into the station was not allowed to give her statement about adhiraj. she was asked to wait.

Suhaani told the girls " mujhe devraj ka phone aaya tha." and she explained how devraj had advised her – he had said that as it was her fianc who was in jail, it was her who would be most worried. The others would only be thinking of gunjan and not really of what would happen to adhiraj. who was related to him anyway? So it would be best for her to convince everyone to stop going after the case and just stay quiet. The girls were silent for a while.

"tumne kya kahaan?"

"nothing. I just said ki mujhe pata hain ki kaun kiske saath hain." All three bhushan sisters smiled.

"good for you suhaani." Dia

"par girls, i am scared.main... " and she started crying.

they consoled her and kept talking for sometime .

All of them waited , mayank and sam decided to go to pick up Lalitha and to apply for bail . Benji , Dia and Uday left for college as they got to know that something was going wrong there. Nupur, suhaani, gunjan waited outside the station. Bauji came after a while and shook his head saying, maine kaha tha bail ki zaroorat padegi.

"pata hain. samrat aur maynak wohi kaam karne gaye hai." nupur said angrily.

Nupur who was holding gunjans mobile still, got a call. From that devraj- that whole thing about how all the guys would get hurt etc., she didn't answer back. But when the guys didn't turn up soon from lalitha s house, she got panicked. She called up and finally samrat told her that they were with lalitha.

"kya hua? Myank ki mummy bhi hai yahaan, kuch discussion horahi thi unke office mein adhiraj ki bail ko lekar tho mayank ne phone nehin utaya. Tum he kya hua? Sab teek hain na wahaan?" samrat asked .

Nupur felt better listening to sam s words, esp that mayanks mom was also here. She had not known aunty was coming.

"nahin.. matlab sab aisa hi hai bas tum log phone utaathe rehna. Jaldi aao."

Suddenly someone was screaming," mujhe apne bte se milna hain." Adhirajs dad screaming at the inspector inside the station.. The inspector said no and then ignored him.

(i don't know the name, so...) A's dad walked out just in time to see bauji walk into the station.

"aap?" both stared at each other.

"yeh sab aapki galthi hain. " he screamed at bauji.

"meri galthi?"

"haan. Mujhe yakeen nahin aata ki mera beta aise reason ke liye jail mein hain. sab aapki bti ke wajah se hai. aapki himmat kaise hui mere bte par aisa ilzaam lagane ka? Aapko tho main chodne waala nahin hoon. Aap kya badala le rahe hain mere bte se? "

" badala? Meri baat suniye..."

" jis aadmi ka parivaar uske baat nahin suntha, uski baat main kyun sunu?"

" kyunki yeh aapki hi bte ka zindagi ka sawaal hain isliye. aap zara hosh mein rahke dekhenge tho pataa chalega ki meri beti hain yahaan subah se, statement dene keliye ki . police..." bauji retorted.

"statement? Statement paper mein hai...Aapne nahin padi? Dekho ," and threw a local paper at bauji.

And continued," jab tak meri lawyer nahin aajaatha tab tak aapki dono betiyaan koi statement nahin degi." The constable came and asked both the men to go out or they would be locked up as well.

"achha hoga. Main apne bte ko dekhloonga." He went inside again.

Bauji had glanced at the paper and his face changed..the girls took it from his hand to read through quickly. Bauji walked a little away. Nupurs fist clenched. And anger at devraj bubbled over. In that there was nice story of how the girls of today were inviting trouble by celebrating valentine day like stuff , eg being a sweet girl like gunjan who became a target after a party she had attended..it was cultural influences like these which made the youth go astray. Like the girls sister , the paper reported , broke her marriage and married on her wedding day against her dads wishes . and a well brought up boy was forced by circumstances to take to arms. he felt cheated and when got an opportunity , tried to target the elder sister but ended up hurting the younger one. It was all a matter of being exposed to the wrong influences at the wrong time.That is why kids of today should listen to their parents, the article said.

"disgusting ,isme valentine day ki kya galthi hain?" suhaani said and looking at gunjan.both turned to look at nupur whos hand was clenched around the paper and her face red with embarrassment and anger.

"di rehne do. In sab ki bare mein mat socho."

"haan nupur. Yeh sab conspiracy hain hum sab ko thodne ka. "

"waise bhi kisika naam nahin likha hain ismein. Mere ilawa."

Nupur didn't answer. She held the mobile in one hand and the news paper in another. The phone rang again. After a while, she left saying she was going to college.

Just post noon, everyone came back. samrat and mayank had come back with lalitha and shilpa aunty . uday,benji and dia came and with them came bui much to everyone s surprise. The whole lot sat on some steps outside as lalitha went in with another lawyer that adhirajs dad had called.nupur had not returned .

i could never understand how the parents werent in the picture at that time! esp adhirajs dad who thought the world of his son...so here its . plus ive a badala with the two fathers wrt nupur!!!
