You know, I really don't mind the premise... I can see MN disagreeing over on whether to make the relationship public or not... But, THIS is what breaks MN up and forces Nupur to go back to Morena? A disagreement on whether to make their relationship public or not? Wait wait hold on a sec, even that's not the reason... its basically about the TIME when the said relationship is allowed to be made public? 😲 Honestly, I get that MN need to seperate for N to go to Morena plot to work out. But couldn't a better and more realistic reason have been formulated for their seperation?. Mayank comes off as a guy with major anger-management problems with the way he's (senselessly and inconsistently) overreacting to the situation, smashing plates and all... What happened to the COOL, calm and logical Mayank? You know the 'ICE' to Nupur's 'FIRE'... And these are words used by the show-makers themselves to describe the characters... So really what was that all about? Where is Mayank's 'coolness' when he is breaking up plates? And on to Nupur, well, Nupur is quite a tenacious and persisant character, she is NOT an escapist. She sticks on to Mumbai when she was humiliated and embarrased in college. She sticks on to Mumbai when Gunjan gets mad at her. She sticks on to Mumbai when Mayank gets, rightfully so, angry at her due to the project scam, but this time when she hasn't even made a mistake lo and behold she's suddenly feeling the need to go to Morena? 🤔 What I find even more mind-boggling is that instead of trying to convince Mayank of her innocence, or you know, just waiting till things cool down, she decides to escape to Morena?
Yes I get it that its done to start the Morena track but the problem is that such exaggerated, inconsistent responses from Mayank & Nupur really tarnishes the image of MN in the audience's eye. Because this 'smashing plates all around' Mayank and this 'so hurt to escape into home-town just due to an argument' Nupur is most definately not the same cool nerd Mayank and filmy dramatic Nupur that drew me into the show. And THAT MN is the reason we watch this show, not these cariactures.
So my request to the creatives is to kindly keep the characters in mind when formulating new tracks. Thats the least you can do, right?
