Nice topic yaar!
I tried to read up on everyone's points but only got to page 4 before I felt lazy and I was like chadooo. So ya I'm just gonna say what I wanna say and hope it hasn't been said before. :D
I agree with your points 1 and 3. =)
You know, when MJHT started it was so relatable to college life and just life in general. Especially all the relationships, like Mayank and his mom, and Sam and Benji's friendship and later on as Nupur and Samrat friendship etc. And the sisters of course was really sweet to see. And we got to see all the characters in class with a life. And it was so relatable how Mayank was so set in his goals and Nupur couldn't study to save her life....you know like those are things we go through as students in college so you could totally relate with the characters. That's why it was so justifiable I thought when Mayank didn't want to fall in love due to his priorities in life and his responsibilities to his mom.
But now....and this relates to your point 3, it's like all they do is loweee!!....or talk about loweee or think about lowee. I mean even people in colleges who have boyfriends and girlfriends have other things to do than LOWEEE....when this show started, it had so many messages and themes going for it...but now it seems like lowe is the only thing central to it. Not to compare or anything....but that's what happened in DMG too right? The creatives forgot all about the medical aspect and the sister/father daughter etc. other relationships and only focused on lowee.....it's so unrealistic!
And that's what I think will happen in MJHT too now...I mean you can show romance but it doesn't mean you take out other aspects of the characters life does it? And even the way they're showing lowe....that's not how college students fall in love....as you said it's totally superficial. Despite being with each other for awhile, I really don't think Mayank and Nupur know anything about each other to fall in loweee.....they've never even had a decent conversation for god's sake!!! And the way the creatives are showing it soo dramatically, like with Mayank picking up Nupur and all, who does that in college??? It would be so much more convincing if they just showed realistic, and subtle things like them just talking!! I just don't get it...when it comes to loweee why do the creatives feel the need to go wayy OTT and show all these scenes when all they need is good dialogues and a good converation between the couple?
*sigh*....I guess that's the doom of all serials when couples fall in loweee....or maybe I know nothing about loweee and that's why I feel this way. It's so sad the way the creatives have ruined so much potential in terms of great actors and a great story they started out with.
Anyways, and the promo, sure Nupur can be attracted to Mayank's body, smile etc....but is there any point to showing the shirtless scene? How does it take the MN story forward??? How will it make Nupur suddenly realize she's in love with Mayank? Just because she saw him without a shirt with thop ke bhaav tel maalish on it?? Waah waah, I guess that's whatch'ya call LOWEEEE.
I feel like the creatives are just taking it easy since most of the fans are loving this track....so they feel like they can get away with not putting any thought into MN track at all....and they're actually putting ZERO thought into this.
O my frickin god......that's a huge a*s essay I wrote!! ....😳😳 ....it's probablly stuff people have already said...anyways it felt good to type it out. 😃
