That morning at Mayank's home.
(He's fiddling with a spoon on the breakfast table when his Mom notices his sullen expression.)

Mom: Mayu, kis baat ka gussa tu apne khaane pe utar raha hai? Aur ab tak bread bhi nahi khaya..ganda bacha!
Mayank: Mujhe bhuk nahi hai.
Mom: (wonders) Jo roz mujhe bread k side pieces bhi chodne nahi deta aaj wo khaane se mana kar raha hai...gadbad hai.. Tabiyat to thik hai na? Kha le..college nahi jaana?
Mayank: nahi Ma.
Mom: acha! Kal raat bhar ullu ki tarah jaagkar kaam kar raha tha, maine dekha tha. Aaj submit karna hoga na?
Mayank: kal raat ko..
Mom: raat ko..ab samjhi..Nupur k baare me soch raha tha na? (smiles mischievously)
Mayank: Ma plz! Har baat ki hadh hoti hai.
Mom: (seriously) kya hua Mayu?
Mayank: tum sahi keh rahi thi Ma. Nupur ki project report usse bahut alag hai aur wo isliye hai kyunki wo usne banayi hi nahi hai.
Mom: kya??
Mayank: haan..wo uski behan Gunjan ne banayi hai..kal maine Nupur se saaf saaf keh diya k ab mujhe na uska dance partner banne me interest hai aur na hi usse baat karne me.
Mom: tu pagal ho gaya hai. Thik hai usne galat kiya par aisa bhi..tum logo ki dosti sirf project tak ki hai kya?
Mayank: Ma baat project ki nahi hai. Baat jhuth ki hai. Wo mujhe bol toh sakti thi. Kisi aur ka credit lena, khud kaam na karna. Maine use pehle hi thik samjha tha.
Mom: Mayank tu..
Mayank: rehne do Ma. Mujhe Nupur k baare me koi baat nahi karni.

(He storms out of the room, leaving his Mom worried.)

Cut to: Dia, Samrat and Gunjan.
Dia had asked them whose love they were talking about.

Samrat: arey Kandy, Samrat k aas paas hamesha pyar hi pyar hota hai.
Dia: whatever! (looks at Gunjan) Gunjan, tum yaha kya kar rahi ho? Class andar chalti hai na doll?
Gunjan: wo main.. ja hi rahi thi.
Dia: Toh jao na. Mujhe Saamy se kuch personal baat karni hai.

(As Gunjan turns to leave, Samrat stops her again.)

Samrat: ruko chashmish. Aaj us class se zyada important meri class hai. Kal ki performance ki rehearsal bhi to karni hai.
Gunjan: lekin abhi toh..
Samrat: haan abhi hi toh! Chalo chalo! (waves to Dia) Bye babes!

(Dia tries to stop them but in vain. She is furious and thinks to herself.)

Dia: main jaanti hu ki tum yeh sab mujhse shart jeetne ke liye kar rahe ho. Par kuch bhi kar lo, wo Morena ki behanji kal nahi gaa paayegi. Dia se koi nahi jeet sakta, Samrat bhi nahi. (smiles slyly)
