Well in a day and age where we desire something new and crave for some reality as well, does Mile Jab Hum Tum fulfill it?
Even though I have been watching this show since it started airing but I don't think so the concept is new or unusual. A lot of shows have already brought this scenario into picture but none of the shows I have watched are entirely based on the issue of small town people coming into the cities. Other than that, the way they have depicted Nupur and Gunjan doesn't make any sense. Well Gunjan's character seems very normal. On the other hand Nupur brings comic relief to the show but at the same time the character does not depict reality. I'm sure people from smaller towns have better things to do when the come to cities other than trying to be cool. This makes me wonder if the makers of the show forgot that we live in the 21st century and in this day and age people do have TVs if not computers at their homes. No one can be so ignorant about what's going on in metros of India especially Mumbai.
Every new show, just like every opening essay or speech, usually begins with a BANG!--and eye catcher. Does this show provide that and how?
The story line didn't really impress me much however the two couples and Arjun Bijlani do make me want to watch every single episode of the show.
When comparing this to college campuses in reality do we normally see such instances?
Definitely, we do see such instances everywhere. Not only in Indian colleges but even in universitiees abroad. You have to wear the right clothes and talk like everyone in order to fit in. If in any way you are different as compared to others you will end up feeling isolated.
Why are outsiders (people from a different city or village) treated and portrayed as fools, who provide a comic relief to the show? Making people from small towns look like fools with little or no fashion sense makes the plot look more real rather than making someone from a big city look like that. Ohh...if they do that media might end up comparing the show or the character to Jassi.
Does this flirt paired with a studious girl formula always work?
Yes, it does !!!
How is this show any different from Yeh Meri Life Hai, Kyun Hota Hai Pyar, and Dekho Magar Pyar Se?
I haven't watched any of these shows but I can relate the issue of small twon people coming to buugger cities to Vrinda's and Ranvir's character in Remix.
