AN : Hey guys I know I have not updated in a while , but it has been because of to much School work. I hope you all can forgive me , and I also know that this chapter is a short one and I wished I had a good explaination for that but honestly I don 't.

Chapter 39
Ranveer exhaled and was anxious for what happened a few minutes aside. It annoyed him to think about what had happened a few minutes ago, he knew what price Ishani had to pay for his choice. The price for the choice he took eight years ago cost their relationship and resulted in two broken hearts. Being close to Ishani was something he wanted to avoid, because he could never forgive himself if he hurt her more than what he already had.
Ranveer knew what he had to do; he would do what he did eight years ago. He had to build a facade again, so he could avoid hurting her more and he in no way had to let Ishani came close to his heart for the consequences may be too large.
Ranveer knew he rather ought to go to this dinner, but he knew it would be unfair to Disha and Shikhar but he was most afraid of his angel. Ranveer gathered himself and did what he always did; hide behind his faade after all he was an expert on it.
Ranveer went out of the room to Ishani and saw that she was lost in her thoughts and he knew she was thinking about what happened between them. Ranveer coughed loudly to get her attention, when she addressed the beautiful eyes toward him and Ranveer made sure that she was met with an impatient glance and said:
"If you forget it, we have a dinner to catch?" Said Ranveer peevishly
Ishani looked at him shocked and surprised as his behavior because she had not seen it coming. One moment he had been the Ranveer she had known her whole life, the man she had fallen for. But the man who stood before her had no resemblance to the man she fell for.
She walked closer to him, she saw no reaction Those eyes that she had always found love and warmth in was cold, empty and numb. She looked at him disappointed and said shortly:
"Let's go"
Before Ranveer could say something Ishani walked front of him and out of the house without waiting for him, she sat in the car on the passenger seat. When Ranveer came and sat in the car with her and began to drive toward her sister 's house.
"I bought a gift for Angela, can you give it to her?" asked Ishani after a while uncertain.
Ranveer did not look up from the road and was silent, Ishani did not think she was going to get a answer from him but as always Ranveer surprised her.
"For Angela, I can do everything, but why do you not give it to her herself ?" asked Ranveer without any trace of emotion in his voice just plain business voice. She was not surprised that he was given the title of "business man of the year" Because he was really good at this , Ishani thought for herself.
"You know that Angela is not very fond of me and I know that she will ultimately accept the gift much easier if it comes from you," said Ishani bittersweet and her voice broke, she thought it was cute to observe the relationship between Angela and Ranveer but was sad that Angela was not as fond of her as she wanted.
Ranveer had heard how her voice had burst and knew he could not keep the front facade on as a cold man as he quietly said, "Angela are just careful whom she opens up to. She is careful with her heart, and no one can understand it better than us, "said Ranveer and Ishani viewed Ranveer pissed and said:
"You know nothing about it Ranveer, if you had known that you would not have done what you did eight years ago," said Ishani and looked at him objectionable.
There was no trace of guilt on his face which made Ishani more pissed. She wanted to say much more to him, but he said something that made her heart break in pieces once again.
"The demons of mine won," he said and for a moment could Ishani see something in his eyes, but she could not put into words what it was.
"And my love lost," said Ishani and looked down at his legs, she could not keep staring him in the eyes with him after that. Ranveer car stopped suddenly and Ishani looked up surprised and a little worried but then from the car window she saw that they were outside Disha 's house. Ishani hurried out of the car, she needed to get out so she could talk with Disha. Because of Ishani hurrying to get out of the car she did not heard his last words before she left.
"Your love did not lose Ishani; I was the one who lost the most beautiful part of my life. I knew I was lost from the day I came to this world, but you gave me hope that my life could be different when you came into my life. But the truth is that I cannot run away from fate, and it is intended in my fate to suffer every second I live. It is not right towards you, but I have a penalty to pay. It is not appropriate to you, that are why I want you to hate me so you can move forward in life without looking back
