Chapter 37
A heartbreaking conversation
"There is something between us, something that keeps two people together for eternity. But every time I think about moments we shared together, it hit me that you had a completely different plan"
"Ishani, I "
You broke my heart Ranveer Vaghela, how can I forgive you for that?" Ishani asked, her face red because of anger.
"Do not forgive me for it, because I can never forgive myself for all the pain I gave you. But you must know that you were never part of the plan, I had no plan to fall in love with you. But I fell head over heals for you, whether I should have or not " Ranveer answered , both had tears in the eyes now.
Ranveer was about to wipe away her tears , when Ishani stopped him.
" You should have talked to me , we are soulmates Ranveer. I know that you see me as your light to your darkness , and you assumed that telling me would bring darkness to me . But by not telling me you failed by keeping the dark away from me, because you played with my emotions"
Both were quite for a while after that, too many things were still unsaid between them.
" One thing I never understood is why did you not ask for a seperation then , and after I broke your trust why did you came to Norway with me ?" asked Ranveer seriously , because he has always pondered about that question.
" For maa " Ishani said , and Ranveer nodded understandingly.
"If I had not stopped you at the airport would you have traveled without me?" She whispered, incredibly afraid of what effect the answer would have on her.
" Ishani , I "
Ishani could see the guilt in his eyes .
Ishani smiled a sad smile and said : " I guess that 's my answer "
" That 's what you do right , you give people scars first and then you run away. That's what you did to Ridhima and that 's what you were going to do with me if I had not stopped you "Ishani said and she could see how her words were affecting Ranveer , but it did not stop her. Today she wanted him to feel what she felt.
"You are a coward, Ranveer Vaghela" said Ishani
"I hate myself for that I still love you, that's my biggest mistake. You are a mistake I never should have done Ranveer Vaghela, it would have saved my heart from mass pain "
Ranveer felt like someone had taken his last breath from him when he heard the word mistake. Same word his father had used, his mother, Ridhima and now Ishani. He cursed himself from being born , all he ever had done was to bring pain in people's life.
"If I am a mistake, then why do you still love me "Ranveer asked confused.
" I think that, right now I am not in condition to understand anything. What I understand is that you have given me so deep wounds, that one could use the century to heal all of those"
Ranveer closed his eyes , he never wanted this to happen. He hated himself for every pain he had caused her , he wished he never had confessed to her . It would have saved her from a lot of pain Ishani looked at Ranveer while his eyes were closed , she thought she would feel better by saying all those word to him but she did not. All she felt was more pain.
" But maa left us 6 months ago, so I think it's time that we both should get used to live without each other ." Ishani said quietly, and Ranveer nodded as response.
" I am sorry it ended like it did " Ranveer said .
" Me too " Ishani said after a while , both thinking about the last big conversation they had for eight years ago.
"I do not blame you if you do not believe this but I want you to know that my intention was never to hurt you," he said quite frankly, hoping that one day she would understand.
She nodded and said: "Maybe our love story was not supposed to have a happy ending," she said at last. She turned around and was on her way to Disha 's room when she heard his voice again.
"For whatever it's worth Ishani Vaghela, I have always loved you and will always and forever do so. I have made many mistakes, and I'm maybe your biggest mistake as I am for many. But to fall in love with you I have never regretted it for a second"
Ishani closed his eyes, his words and his presence had to this day effect on her and she was pretty sure it would always have. She opened her eyes, looked at him the last time before she went to the room Ranveer lay down on the couch in the living room.
Both knew they would not get to sleep at night, for both would go through the conversation they had a hundred times in the brain. They did not know what was in the next chapter in their destiny.
AN : I really understand if you guys want to kill me for this chapter , so you are allowed to throw chappals and tomatoes on me 😆
