Written Update 18 Feb

Vikram is in Pandey house. The bodyguards wait at the doorway. No one has a smile on their face. In fact Sharada looks disgusted at Vikram.

Vikram approaches Sharada. Vikram asks Sharada to give him blessings for the truth he is about to unfold. The strength to tell the truth should stay with him. He bends down to touch her feet but Sharada moves away. Sharada tells him that how much truth there is in your truth is apparent. She asks him what he has come to say.

Vikram says to start he wants to introduce himself. He says that they have not been able to find out about his family because no opportunity as such has come by. He says that after meeting him the past may be seen as false that Vikram has spent with this family. Until today everyone has known him as Vikram but his full name is Vikram Banu Pratab Singh. Everyone is shocked.

Vikram admits that his father's name is taken in this house with enemity and whatever his father has done to the Pandey's can't be discounted. Sharada is shooting daggers at him with her eyes. He says he wants to completely put out this fire of hatred. He folds his hands and asks for forgiveness for his father's mistakes and asks for Vrinda's hand. He says he wants to marry Vrinda.

Shankar shouts at him in anger. Vrinda has a look of anger on her face. Shankar says how dare Vikram come to Kashinath's house and talk big. Shankar is about to beat him up but Sharada stops him. Sharada says so this is your real face which till today you were hiding behind decency as a mask. You played a good drama. Sharada accuses him of playing with them.

In the background Shakti leaves to go upstairs.

Sharada says that they know Banu's intentions very well but they say truth in Vikram's eyes. Vikram looks shameful. Sharada adds that now she understands that Vikram has been dancing to his father's tunes, isn't he ashamed of using her daughter?

She accuses him of using Vrinda in the flames of hatred of Banu. Vikram denies this and says if that was the true then why would he come here and disclose the truth in front of everyone.

Taiji is reading the Vishnu puran upstairs and Shakti calls her to come and watch Kashi puran downstairs. They both go to watch. She comes to know that Vikram is brother Banu's son.

Shankar is still angry and wants to show Vikram his position. Vikram tells Sharada that for whatever has happened unknowingly he is willing to accept whatever punishments she mets out but before that he tells her that when he first met Vrinda he was not aware of the enemity. He says he didn't even know where his father was at for the last 14 years. He adds that he was just completing his studies in Dehli. By the time he found out about it he had already fallen in love with Vrinda. He says he was afraid when she found out about him she would leave him forever. But then he thought what is that relationship that soars on the steps of lies. He folds his hands and begs Sharada to forget the past and accept their love. He asks Vrinda to stand up and tell everyone about their love. Vrinda comes forward and raises her hand, ready to slap him.

But she stops and lowers her hand. Vrinda says that she is Kashinath Pandey's daughter, and she will not forgive Banu for the problems he has caused her family and will not marry or even see the face of anyone related to him. She leaves from there and goes upstairs.

Vikram stands dejected.

Shankar asks Vikram to leave or else he will kick him out. Vikram says that until he proves that he is innocent he will not leave. He asks for a chance. Shankar holds him by his collar and drags him to the door . Kashinath appears and asks Shankar to stop.

Kashinath says that Vikram is not wrong but the his blood is wrong. He says he doesn't know what game Banu is playing, all he knows is that he has lost his son and will not lose his daughter at any price. He tells Vikram that he is not deserving of their hatred but rather their mercy. He was hiding his father's truth and now go, they have for given him. Kashinath orders Vikram to get out and never return.

Vikram walks away head down and shoulders sagged.

Both Vikram and Vrinda recall their past moments of love.

Banu is acting out his fake drama of heart attack and having a good laugh.Banu is proud and happy that finally his son will straighten Kashinath. He calls Vikram's office and is surprised to learn he has not shown up yet. Banu wonders where Vikram could have gone.

Vrinda goes to her room and is crying. Krishna and Sanya come there. Krishna chastises her for not crying like a heroine.. She enacts out how Vrinda should be crying. Sanya tells Vrinda to eat , and how in front of everyone Vikram proclaimed his love. She has that Vikram has guts and Vrinda too has to adopt that much guts.

Vrinda recollects that what Vikram used to say was right, when they didn't know each other's names how beautiful their relationship was and now after knowing names everything is destroyed.

Sanya questions Vrinda that shouldn't Vrinda have given Vikram one more chance.

Sharada enters the room.

Vrinda says yes she should have given another chance to Vikram but not to Banu Pratab's son.Vrinda says unknowingly she has hurt her mother. Sharada says yes.

Sanya and Krishna leave. Sharada tells Vrinda that before threading on unknown paths, one should think whether the road leads somewhere or not. Vrinda replies that the road would reach somewhere had trickery and lies not come in. Sharada lists the pains inflicted on Kashinath by his children. Vrinda swears that she will not make any further mistakes.

Thanks Soni. Makes we wonder whether the Pandey's are right or not with their authoritiarian ways. They should at least give the opposite person a chance to explain or speak what is in their minds. Most of the time they stop the person from expressing their views by saying things like 'jitna dekhna tha dekh liay' or 'jitna sunna tha sun liya'.

This was Aditya's gripe with his parents. He felt that they were authoritarian and would never understand his feelings and his views. He was always expected to conform, fall in line.
It would be more realistic to show that even Kashinath Pandey and wife are not perfect and make mistakes like the rest of the people in the world. Perhaps now that Sanya is in the house, she can see for herself what Aditya meant. It could be seen from yesterday's episode that Sanya disagreed with the treatment Vikram received from the Pandeys.
Another thing that bothers me is that as much as Vrinda blamed Banu Pratab for Aditya-Abha-Sanya fiasco, they fail to notice that
1) Aditya is the first culprit. Had he not behaved as a coward and created an opportunity, no enemy could have dishonoured them.
2) Taiji, from the own Pandey family, carrying the Pandey surname, is even more a culprit. Surely Sanya knows that. Why doesn't Sanya tell Kashinath and Sharada that Taiji was told everything but did nothing. That Aditya trusted Taiji who played them out. Isn't Taiji the bigger culprit than Vikram or Maya?

Vrinda has chosen her parents over Vikram. Will Vikram give up on her? Or will he cry but move on with his life such that Vrinda becomes an unattainable past?

Romeo and Juliet belong to warring families yet they died in love together. Here Vrinda has casted Vikram aside because he carries Banu Pratab's name. Vrinda has no strong love for Vikram. Yes, Vikram is her first love but is it the eternal strong passionate love that can last lifetimes?
