She's like every leading lady on Indian television. A lot of women are not tough in life, but they are not stupid, ignorant and naive do-gooders. When someoen does them wrong, they don't brush it over but admit it. I would love to see a heroine see these problems and struggle in how to solve them - that's real life and that would make for a much more likeable and relatable character.

yes that is a good point. have the woman solve the problem but not crying and whimpering along. she should be head strong and not let others control her, but she knows how to assert herself in a diplomatic way...all these women do in the shows is cry all day long, worry only about the family, feed their husband, and just listen to what comes their way...they don't question or are made to think....some of the charcters might have a few strong points, but in the end they also turn into these whimpy women....come on we are in 2010 where women have come a long way.

All these leading ladies do is cry; none of the are funny, witty or fast thinking. I don't expect them to be tough in that they are able to stand up for themselves or fight BUT I would like them to recognize that what is being done to them is WRONG and admit it. So many characters minimize what is being done to them and are still nice to the person who is doing wrong to them in the hopes that that the wrong doer will change. That does not happen in real life and sends a very bad message to people. Wrong doers stop when they know that the other person is not going to put up with their abuse. Study after study in social science shows that a bully is NEVER stopped just be being good to them.
