That's upto you. I keep emphasizing on "show not tell" many people have this thing of explaining stories, m not a fan of it.

So my answer would be, to each (author) their own. How well you execute what you want to say is the point of Microtales.

I think that this contest should be focussed on stories about debilitating anxiety, like agoraphobia, claustrophobia etc. only.

Stories about systemic prejudices like xenophobia, homophobia, transphobia etc. shouldn't be accepted.

Also "hydrophobia" as a synonym of rabies shouldn't be accepted.

This is our decision. We are encouraging creativity, not limiting it.

Feel free to write stories about these phobias if you wish, but we are not going to put any such limits.
