Yes. You have a longggg list of phobias. If you check on Google ... unlimited list. I dont think you would need to create one of your own. No made-up phobias. I think, it will not only increase the challenge but readers don't have to go scratching our heads. How you work within the rules to create your story will be a great writing exercise, I believe.

Are we required to mention the phobia our stories deal with to avoid confusion?

For example, let's say my story deals with someone leaving a family gathering early. It could be either due to a phobia of being around relatives (I think this was one of the phobias actually mentioned on the first page) or due to phobia of people in general.
