"Everyday is a fashion show and the world is your runway" - Coco Chanel

Fashion is the way we dress up. It is the way we choose to live our life; in fact, it is the way majority of the people choose to live their lives. It governs the way we think, we act...and the way we think and act defines our fashion sense. It's a vice-versa situation.

However, it is very transient. What is in fashion today, might not be so...tomorrow. It's just a matter of time. It is rightly said, "Fashion fades; style lives on".

"Dress shabbily, and they remember the dress. Dress impeccably and they remember you!"
- Coco Chanel

For all the fashionistas of I-F, we are here with the highlights of the 87th Academy Awards, held in California. There were some 'wow moments' on the red carpet and we're here with the ones that made a mark in our minds.

The TOP 5 at Oscars '15
[Based on an in-house survey]

EDDIE REDMAYNE AND HANNAH BAGSHAWE

Both Eddie and Hannah sported an Alexander McQueen dress for their appearance at the 87th Academy Awards. The gold clutch and lose hair complemented Hannah's look while a simple bowtie made Eddie's tux look...complete.

LONNIE RASHID LYNN A.K.A COMMON

Lonnie Rashid Lynn...or Common as we all know him as...looked exquisitely dapper in a Prada Tuxedo. His perfect and neat french beard complemented his look.

ANNA KENDRICK

Beautiful Anna Kendrick chose a Thakoon gown for the Awards. Her simple hairdo and light make-up complemented her entire look.

JENNIFER LOPEZ

Jennifer can never get it wrong on the red-carpet. She looked stunning in the peach Elie Saab gown. A simple ponytail completed her look. The shimmery gown grabbed all the eyeballs it could.

REESE WITHERSPOON

Reese went for a custom fit Tom Ford gown for the Oscars. The black and white combination not only complemented her skin tone but also enhanced the entire look. Her no-hairdo look only added to the beauty.

Greetings, humans of India-Forums.😃 We are here with a fun interview with a cricket fanatic and a fashionista. Check it out below.

1. What is the definition of "Cricket" according to you?

LIFE

2. When the love affair started?
Ind v PAk Quarter Final 1996 WC. I didnt watch cricket before that but heard a lot. That day my cousins came to visit us and and that moment the electricity got cut and then they started listening to the radio commentary. I wondered what is so special in this that they are listening on radio. The electricity came back and everybody started watching again and my didi also made me join it and from that time we always used to watch matches together till 1999. After that she left watching and i became a cricket addict. Now with internet and all, i try to watch every possible. 😆😆 I have around 2 TB Cricket videos now. 😎

3. Mention your favourite players (from across the globe). Provide at least 1 reason for each.
MSD: My role Model. Reason 1 because he played from my state. 2nd is his Calmness and composure in pressure situations. He single handedly changed the thinking of small town boys and now small town boys can also dream big. 😃
Bhuvi: The most well behaved cricketer you can ever see on the cricket field.
Steve Smith : Looks like my cousin. 😆 Was a huge trouble for India this season but a treat to watch. 👏
Wahab Riaz: That spell to watson made me his fan. 👏
Dale Steyn : Gem of a person and i love Fast bowlers too. 😆👏
James Anderson : A 🤬 off the field but is magical to watch when on Song. 😆
Almost Whole WI and NZ team: They have a certain flair that forces you to watch. 👏
This is only Cricket but i watch almost every sport where India is Involved.

4. If you had a chance to change the current team or build up your own cricket team, whom would you like to put in and whom would you eliminate?
We have a perfect team IMO especially in ODIs. No need to change. In tests i would like Ojha in place of Saha and No Rohit in test team.

5. What are you expecting from our current Indian team? How would they perform in the upcoming 2016 ICC World Twenty20?

LOL we are winning it. Its In India dude. I will be really
🤬 if we dont win at Home. 😆

6. Your message to fellow sports' addicts?

DO WHATEVER YOU WANNA DO MAN. 😉

1. What is the definition of "Fashion" according to you?
Fashion is one's description and eventually perception of someone, someone's fashion choices display who they are as a person not only for their personal understanding but also others. My fashion is my identity that is controlled solely by me, not by anyone/anything else.

2. When the love affair started?
I remember a really pivotal moment once where at school we had Harmony Day- it was a day where all the cultures were shown and everyone wore their national costume. I really fell in love with the variety of clothes and designs and the image or aura they give off- I still do really. I guess that day I truly understood the beauty and connection fashion possesses, and since them my love just grew.

3. We all know that you're smitten by the brand Chanel. What are the other lines that make you fall head over heals in love?
When talking high fashion brands I starting to love Alexander McQueen- their NYC Fashion shows were amazing this year, I've watched the show like 3 times! Also Dior is amazing, its got elegance and uniqueness down to the tee. I also adore Fendi because its a brand so different to the rest, its got a very distinct identity and style that I adore.
When going out for more everyday clothing streams I don't know what available around the world- but TopShop and Guess are great places to start, and I think they ship almost universally? They have the best clothes for any type of style really, and Guess jeans- Unbeatable.

4. Just branded or street picks- which one do you prefer the most and why?
You really cannot compare! If I had the money then of course high fashion brands would be the first place to go yet I still adore the variety and openness of street-picks (not to mention affordability). I love high fashion because the clothes are amazing quality and usually the brand itself just makes you feel wonderful. On the flip side street picks are so wonderful due to the designs being so spontaneous and accommodating to all occasions and people.

5. Any particular style/ creation which you would like to have back in fashion brigade?
I adore overall's! Its the most casual yet personally flattering thing I own- I think they are somewhat coming back into fashion but they are truly awesome. And I have a feeling plaid flannel might be coming back in fashion, which is really cool because its been something I've been wanting to wear for ages!
Also, you cannot just ignore the little black dress, but honestly I don't think that ever went out of fashion- despite being introduced decades ago.

6. Your message to fellow fashion lovers?
Fashion is all about expressing yourself in the most personalised way- I'm no expert but I love fashion because of that only. And I feel that despite the undying rows of trends and fads (which while I do follow I do not commit to) one should embrace the uniqueness of fashion and have a personal fashion style- something distinct and very individualised.

"Discussion is an exchange of knowledge"- Robert Quillen

I-F has always been a crazy place when it comes to heated discussions. Be it a television show Forum discussion...or a Debate Mansion topic. We have some enthusiastic and critical people out here who have a way with words. They not only make the discussions interesting...but also make I-F an interesting place to be in.

Here are some of the heated discussions in the past few months.

AIB Roast feat. Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor
and Karan Johar

The Bollywood Forum loves discussions. Therefore, when the AIB Roast Episode featuring Ranveer, Arjun and Karan was out on YouTube, the Forum buzzed with discussions on the content of the first ever roast show in India. It evoked various responses by the members...just as it created a stir in the Indian society. Some members supported the roast and claimed that to see or not to see the roast is a personal choice...and banning it as a whole is unfair. Another group of people found it extremely offensive and thought that it was an exploitation of Right to Freedom of Speech.

Deepika Padukone's VogueEmpower
shortfilm "My Choice"

Deepika Padukone starred in the controversial shortfilm by VogueEmpower, "My Choice". It was an initiative by Vogue for #WomenEmpowerment and it was a bold step by Vogue India which was criticized for being exploitation in the name of Feminism. Extra-marital affair and other such tabboos in India were addressed in the video as being a personal choice. Some people of the society welcomed it as being a bold step in women empowerment while others criticized the video for abusing the word feminism. India-Forums had a long run discussion on the same issue and it qualifies as one of the Heated Discussions in the past few months. Link: Deepika Padukone launches VogueEmpower film "My Choice"

Karan Patel and Ankita Bhargava's Marriage

When television's heartthrob, Karan Patel decided to marry Ankita Bhargava...the fans of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and Raman Bhalla took to the website to share their happiness and discuss everything about their favourite star. Karan and Ankita's togetherness had Aly (Karan's co-star) playing a major role as Cupid...as he is the one who brought them together. Link: Karan Patel To Marry Ankita Bhargava-All Discussions Here ONLY

The YHM Forum buzzed with pictures of each and every ritual of Karan and Ankita's wedding. There was a massive wedding thread made a global announcement across the website with pictures and tweets from the related stars and family members. Link: Karan Patel WEDS Ankita Bhargava {WEDDING THREAD} Pics&Vids added

Her Unknown Affliction: A presentation by RAD

A heart-stirring and provoking topic raised by RAD (Raising Awareness and Discussions Subteam) evoked a massive response by the members of India-Forums. Touching tabboo-ed topics like Marital Rape and Sex Education, RAD Subteam put forward some amazing statistics and solutions to these problems hovering in the society. Breaking beyond the boundaries of tabboo, this topic discussed the root causes of Marital Rape...the statistics and some things and actions that could make a difference. Furthering the discussion, Sex Education was discussed as a solution to curbing the growing rates of marital rapes and reduce risks of STDs and other issues related with unwanted sex. Salman Khan's Hit and Run Verdict

Salman Khan was convicted in the 2002 hit and run case where he was held guilty for all the 8 charges on him. As the news of Salman being sentenced to 5-year imprisonment broke out in public, the fans of Bhaijaan took to Twitter and Facebook to show their undying love for their beloved star. India-Forums was no stranger to this outrage. Bhaijaan fans from India-Forums showed their support to him, while those who found him guilty...praised the Indian Law for serving justice. Both sides had an opportunity to put forth their views on various threads across the website. It was honestly, the MOST heated discussion thread on India-Forums and the discussion ran for many days. Salman's lawyers appealed to the High Court which finally stopped his punishment proceedings. He was to appear in court after the summer breaks...and only then would the court come to a conclusion after re-examining the case. Link: Salman Khan Conviction Case-All Discussions
