Hahahaha. Thank you for your kind words but honestly, someone’s gotta give in these situations. My parents’ reasons were flimsy so it was easy to stand against it but when you love your parents, it’s hard to see their faults. I get Rahul’s disappointment with TanJay, having experienced it myself. Bagaawat bhi isliye samajh aati hai.
My parents were never confrontational or rude to even a fly so I don’t connect with the crap MWG family spews. My husband and I were together for more than a decade before we even told my family but we had had a conversation in our early days that neither of us would accept any disrespect. Which is why I don’t connect with Mauli. You have a loving partner who cannot stand your disrespect but tumhe poccha banne ki aadat hai.
Something I learnt is that in an Indian family with love marriage, damaad ki problem ends with the wedding and bahu’s problems start with a wedding. Toh, fingers crossed for Mauli because Tanvi is gonna get worse, now that she’s up against the wall.
Thank you for sharing your story 🤗 You're bravery and courage to go through all of that is so commendable- I'm glad things worked out for you.
Agree with you on Mauli. She needs to either fight for her own self respect or be okay with Rahul doing it. There's only so much you can tolerate in a relationship and disrespect isn't one of them.
1000% true on the analogy between a demaad and bahu. This is real life and happens in every house. We've seen so many variations of this already on TV so I hope they don't go down the route of the typical saas-bahu saga.
