FS: REPLAY

In this story for a little background, Raghav has actually explained everything to the D-fam and slowly and steadily the entire family has forgiven Pallavi. Even baba has forgiven her and now the entire family is at the Rao mansion.

"Pallavi mujhe toh poora yakeen the ki ek din sab tujhe zaroor samjhenge" Kaka smiled at a now ecstatic Pallavi as she distributed sweets among her family. Raghav stood at one side looking at her being so happy, he was at peace now that he has finally fullfilled his promise that he made to her some days ago. The 30 days challenge. And now he has won it which meant that Pallavi will neither leave him nor his family and now they will live happily ever after.

"Kaka ab iss sabka credit toh Raghav ko jata hai." she came to him with the plate of laddoo urging him to take one.

"Raghav Rao kabhi koi challenge nahin harta." he smiled a proud one as he took a laddoo from her, "Haina Farhad?"

"Bilkul Anna. Aapne toh impossible ko bhi possible krdiya." Farhad replied as everyone laughed.

"Isme impossible sirf Sanki Sasur the." Raghav joked but regretted the next moment as everyone stopped laughing and eyes him.

" Mera matlab Marathi father in law" he added scared of him wife's anger. In the past few days she had become a major part of his life. From cooking for him to having late night coffee chats they have experienced it all. To say that he was now used to her being around him would be an understatement, she was like the air around him without whom he would choke and die.

"Raghav tum bhi na. Abhi baba ko manaya hai aur abhi hi unhe naraaz karna chahte ho." she murmured to him hiding behind a smile as the family chatted among themselves.

"Sorry woh aadat ho gaya na." he replied silently holding one ear.

Everyone was so busy in their won worlds that they forgot that one important soul who sat among them with thoughts on his mind. Mr. Vijay Deshmukh never liked Raghav and now when the misunderstandings have been cleared, he was angrier than before. First of all at himself for not trusting his daughter and secondly at Raghav for taking his daughter away from him and caging her in a relationship that was based on blackmail, foul play and maybe fear. He eyed his daughter who stood at the opposite with her so called husband who appeared to say something to her, maybe blackmailing her again. For him his daughter was too naive to notice how cruel this man, Raghav Rao, was for this world. And he had enough of him.

"Pallavi." he called out to her and suddenly everyone went silent.

"Aho kya hua?" Sharda ji asked to which she was shown a palm.

"Main apni beti se kuch baat karna chahta hoon." he spoke in authority.

"Han baba boliye na.' pallavi asked, she had been dying to have a direct conversation with her baba since so many days and now he wans to talk to her himself.

"Agar tumhare pati ki ijazat ho toh main akele main kuch bat karna chahunga." baba taunted eyeing Raghav.

"Kyun nahin sasur ji. Pallavi aapka beti hai , usko mera permission ka zarurat nahin hai." Raghav replied with a smile.

"Baba aaiye hum kamre main chalke baat karte hai." Pallavi led her baba to her room while Amma urged everyone to start their talks again claiming that maybe the father-daughter duo needed some alone time after so long.

Baba entered the room and saw how lifeless it was with Raghav's picture all around. No picture of the married couple as expected but what he was not aware about was the picture that Raghav kept in his drawyer and his study room from their reception party, the thousands of picture he had of her ducked up in his closet and his cell phone, that he never wished she found out.

"Aiye na baba." pallavi called out to him as she saw him still standing at the door.

Baba walked in as he felt uncomfortable in that space, how was hs daughter even living with this man.

"Offo yeh Raghav na sab faila deta hai. rukiye main hatati hoon." Pallavi took her husband's clothes that he had piled up on one side of the room taking them to the laundary. No matter how much she scold him, he would still leave it out just to annoy her. It was their usual banter that kept them going.

Baba looked at his daughter cleaning the room. Was she here like a servant to that Raghav? Did he just marry her to show off his power?

"Baba boliye na aap kuch kehna chahte the." he didn't realised when Pallavi came back and stood beside him, her doe like eyes wide in excitement of meeting him.

"Waise mujhe bhi na aapse dher saari baatein karni hai, aai ke laddoo ke liye ladna hai, aapko kitna sab kuch batana hai aur maafi bhi mangni hai." she spoke.

"Maafi? Kyun?" he asked her.

"woh baba maine aapse dukaan ke accounts ki baat chhupai na isliye." she looked down.

"Pallavi." he made her look up, "Beta tumhara irada galat nahin tha lekin tareeka galat tha. Tujhe mujhse jhhooth nahin bolna chahiye tha bass." he explained to her what he had been hiding in him.

"Par ab sab theek ho gaya hai." he said.

"Han baba aur-" Pallavi shed happy tears.

"Aur ab bass tujhe apne ghar chalna hai." he cut her in sentence.

"Ghar? Par baba yahi toh mera ghar hai." she spoke in confusion.

"Pallavi yeh tera ghar nahin hai. Yeh uss Raghav Rao ka ghar hai. Tera ghar Deshmukh niwas hai." baba said in a stern voice.

"Baba main jaanti hoon ki aap Raghav se naraaz hai apr woh badal raha hai. Usne mere liye aap sabko manya aur maine aise kaise yeh ghar, usse, Amma aur Keerti ko chhodhkar apke saath chali jaun." she resisted.

"Aaj meri ek baat samajhle Pallavi. yeh Raaghav Rao jaise log kabhi nahin badal sakte. Inhe bass apna ghamand aur paisa dikhta hai." he exclaimed.

"Par Baba." Pallavi tried to make her baba understand. Leaving Raghav was no option for her now. He meant so much to her even though she never admitted.

"Par war kuch nahin Pallavi tu samaan bandh, hum abhi ghar jaa rahe hai." her baba pulled the suitcase out from the cupboard.

"Nahin baba main kahin nahin jaungi. yeh mera ghar hai aur Raghav mera pati." she resisted.

"Toh phir theek hai aaj ya toh baba ya phir Raghav." he turned in anger.

"Baba yeh-"

"tu bhul sakti hai Mandaar ko, apne ghar ko par tu aaj bhi mere liye meri beti hai Pallavi. Agar aaj tune Raghav ko chuna toh tu aone baba ka mara muh dekhegi." he gave his final statement sealing her mouth shut.

It had been 15 minutes that Pallavi had gone inside their room with her baba, raghav had now started to get a little restless cause she was not around him and he felt incomplete without her. An uneasiness had started to settle inside of him as if he was gonna loose something. farhad saw his uneasiness and walked to him.

"Anna aap theek toh hai na?" Farhad asked.

"Pata nahin Farhad par mereko kuch sahi nahin lag raha hai." he explained his uneasiness to his best friend.

"Kuch nahin hoga Anna woh aaj poora Deshmukh pariwar idhar hai na shayd isliye thora ajeeb lag raha hoga." farhad joked.

"Par kuch bhi bol farhad. Aaj jo khushi maine Pallavi ka chehre par dekha na uske liye inn dino jitna saha woh sab maaf. Uska chehra ekdum khil sa gaya tha na." he smiled reminsing the way she continuosly thanked him and that glitter in her eyes.

"Aho kidhar reh gaye?" Sharda ji asked.

"Are dono baap-beti lage honge gappe ladaane main." kaka joked, "Lo aapne yaad kara aur aa gaye."

Baba walked into the hall with Pallavi behind him with her head hung low and a suitcase in her hand.

"Aho kya hua?" Sharda ji asked.

"Pallavi kya hua? Aur tum yeh suitcase ke saath kya kar raha hai?" Amma asked.

Raghav felt the uneasiness grow inside of him, he wanted her to look at him for once to give him sme peace but she kept looking at the floor. Pallavi, he called out to her in his heart as he always does and she by their connection, always felt it.

"Pallavi hamare saath ghar jaa rahi hai." baba replied.

"Achcha woh pag phera ka rasam ke liye.Chalo achcha hai. Raghav kal shaam ko lene pahuch jayega." Amma smiled.

Raghav didn't like the idea of Pallavi leaving the house or him for even an hour and now for an entire day how will he survive.

"Nahin!" baba retorted, "Pallavi hamare saath jaa rahi hai hamesha hamesha ke liye"

Everyone stood shocked at the sudden announcement while Raghav felt as if the floor slipped beneath his speed as his heart stopped beating.

PART 2

"yeh aap kya keh rahe hai Aho." Aai was the first person to come out of the shocking announcement.

"Main sahi keh raha hoon Sharda. Pallavi hamare saath ghar wapas jaa rahi hai." Baba spoke in a stern voice.

"Par dada-" Milink kaka tried to talk some sense into his brother's mind but was stopped in between by his wife's strong gaze.

"Par war kuch nahin Milind. Maine na kabhi iss shaadi ko mana hai aur na hi manunga. Are yeh kaisi shaadi hai jisme pariwar ka koi bhi nahin tha, woh shaadi jo sirf zabardasti se hui hai. Kyun maine sahi kaha na Raghav." baba taunted.

"Dekhiye Vijay ji main jaanta hai ki yeh shaadi jinn halaat main hua woh galat tha lekin Pallavi iss ghar ka bahu hai, Raghav ka patni hai woh ab." Amma spoke.

"Jaya ji bilkul sahi keh rahi hai Aho. Ab jo hona tha woh ho gaya aur main kehti hoon hi ab aap bhi isko maan lijiye. Ek baar Pallavi ka toh sochiye." Aai tried to convince her husband.

"Maine jo faisla liya hai na Sharda woh soch samajhkar hi liya hai aur Pallavi ke liye liya hai. Are aisi jhoothi shaadi main rehne se behtar hai ki woh poori zindagi Mandaar ki widhwa bann kar rahe." Baba retorted.

"Aye Sanki buddhe." Raghav roared, until now he was silent to the entire scenario trying to understand his wife's emotions who hadn't even laid her eyes on anything accept the floor but as soon as the word 'Mandaar' and 'widhwa' reached his ears he lost it.

Farhad pulled back his Anna as Raghav held baba's collar all ready to pounce on the old man.

"Anna . Anna rukiye." Farhad tried calming his boss down.

"Raghav chhodh unko." Amma tried too.

"Nahin Amma yeh Sanki buddhe ka dimaag satak gaya hai. Main isko chhodega nahin." he shouted.

"Pallavi kisika widhwa nahin hai. Samjha tum." he pushed the man with all his force as Farhad pulled him back. Amma and Farhad held each of his arms trying to keep him in place.

"Akhir tune apni aukaad dikha di na. Iss battameez ke saath apni beti ko rakhna chahti ho tum Sharda. Are iske liye toh Pallavi bass ek naukar hai iss ghar ki. Isliye mera faisla sahi hai." baba gave him a stern look holding Pallavi's bag from her.

"Ayee Sanki-" Raghav started to shout only to be shut down by his wife.

"Bass Raghav bahut ho gaya." Pallavi spoke trying so hard to hold back her tears as she finally looked up from the floor, her baba's words from the room still ringing in her ears.

One look from her and Raghav felt his heart drop from the ground , amidst everything what everyone lacked to see was the pain beneath her stern eyes. Something was wrong he could put that on a stamp paper and hence he calmed down. He knew Pallavi wanted to say something but wasn't able to so at this moment he was supposed to listen to her heart like she always done.

"Baba chale." Pallavi spoke in a low voice.

"Nikhil Pallavi ka samaan lo aur tum Raghav aajke baad meri beti ke aas paas bhi dikhe na toh tumhe andar karwa dunga samjhe." baba warned him as he dragged Pallavi out of the house with the entire Deshmukh clan following them behind. Sharda gave an apologetic look to the Rao's as she silently apologized for her husband's behaviour.

"Anna yeh sab." Farhad spoke in shock.

"Yeh Vijay ji ko na jaane kya hua and Pallavi bhi unka saath chala gaya." Amma said.

"Amma maine toh pehle hi kaha tha ki yeh rishta Pallavi ke liye ek saza hai. Main toh kehti hoon ab aap bhi azaad kardo iss rishte se usse." Keerti explained her mother.

"Par Keerti bhabhi Anna ki wife hai. Aur Anna aapne unhe kyun nahin roka." Farhad demanded answers.

"Mereko iss baare main koi baat nahin karna Farhad." a dejected Raghav spoke making his way towards his study room leaving everyone behind.

"Sab khatam ho gaya Keerti." Amma cried as Keerti helped her to walk to her room.

DESHMUKH NIWAS

Pallavi collapsed on the bed finally letting the tears stream out of her eyes. She was hurting and like before she didn't have anyone to talk about it too. She could hear her Aai shouting at baba for what he did. Even she was scolded for agrying to her baba but her tongue was tied to the kasam her baba gave her in that room, their room. This room now that was once her, didn't feel the same way like the room she shared with Raghav. That room was lively and happy unlike this one which was cold and unwelcoming. As she pulled out his picture on her phone, she repeated apologize for leaving him if even if she had silently promised him in her heart after his drunk scene in the shower. That day she was the vulnerable side of him that had begged her to stay. Remincing of their memories, slowly and steadily her eyes gave up and sleep made it's appearance.

On the other hand Raghav too was in deep thoughts, for a wierd reason he just could not get her eyes out of his mind. The way she spoke, that stern and self esteemed voice was missing today. He remembered watching his Pallavi go inside the room with her baba but the women who came out later was different. He eyes the alcohol bottle kept on the table infront of him but for some wierd reason it wasn't calling out to him the way it used to everytime he was hurt.

"Anna aapne bhabhi ko aise kaise jaane diya." Farhad complained as soon as he walked inside the study.

"Rona band kar Farhad." he replied.

"Anna aap toh aise baithe hai jaise aapko koi farq nahin padta. Lekin main jaanta hoon Anna ki bhabhi ka jaana kahin na kahin aapko bhi hurt kar raha hai." Farhad tried reasoning.

"Han kar raha. Mereko bura lag raha hai toh." he snapped.

"Toh Anna aap kyu nahin accept karlete ki aap bhabhi se pyaar karte hai." Farhad tried his luck for the umpteenth time. If his Anna was supposed to realise his love then this was the time.

"Yeh pyaar vyaar mereko nahin samajh aata Farhad aur tu yeh faltu ka bakwaas chhodh. Main kuch batayega tujhe bass woh kaam karna hai." he raised his brows.

"Par Anna is waqt kaunsa kaam-" Farhad asked.

"Kitna rota hai tu. Apni bhabhi ko ghar laana hai tujhe ya nahin." Raghav asked.

"Sachchi Anna." Farhad asked in excitement.

"Ab kya stamp paper par likhkar doon tujhe." Raghav glared him as he explained his entire plan.

Next morning.

Pallavi woke up with a bad headache, all credit to the niagra falls she shed last night but this morning felt a little different to her.

"Pallavi tu uth gayi beta."Aai greeted her in her room.

"Ho Aai. Pata nahin itni derr kaise ho gayi, main abhi nahakar aati hoon. Tu breakfast mat banana." Pallavi hurried as soon as she saw the time and dashed inside the room.

"Are naashta ho gaya hai tu chai peekar aajana." Aai shouted, "Bappa meri bachchi ki khushiyan usko lauta de." Aai prayed.

Pallavi came out all freshened up from the bathroom as she looked herself in the mirror. The mangalsutra still adorning her neck, she touched it softly and remembered how she made him properly wear this in the reception party. How shocked he was. Her reverie was broken by some loud shoutings from the verandah.

"Kaun hai aap log aur yeh sab kya hai." she heard kaka say.

"Sulochna yeh sab tumne mangaya hai kya." Aai asked.

"Nahin vahini. Main yeh sab ka kya karungi." Kaku replied.

A confused Pallavi walked down the stairs and got shocked as she came in view with a bunch of people walking inside her house with big thali's in their hands covered with a red velvet cloth.

"Aai yeh sab kya hai?" Pallavi asked.

"Pata nahin achanak se yeh log itna saara samaan lekar aane lage." Aai answered.

"Kaun ho tum log aur mere ghar main yeh samaan kyun laa rahe ho." Baba asked but recieved on reply.

Everyone stood confused until the men and women stopped and stood in a straight line on either side of the verandah.

"Are koi kuch batayega bhi." baba shouted.

"Relax Sanki Sasur warna tumhara BP high ho jayega." came a voice from the door.

"Raghav" Pallavi spoke in a shocked voice mirroring everyone's reaction.

"Hello biwi. Kaisa hai tum?" he walked to them till the centre of the verandah standing face to face with his father in law.

"Yeh kya tamasha hai Raghav aur maine tumse kaha tha na meri beti se dur rehna warna-" baba shouted.

"Bola na relax abhi sab batata hai main tumko pehle sabse milne toh do." he smiled at him, " Namaste Neerupa- sorry Aai" Raghav greeted Sharda ji.

"Aur kaka sab theek" he waved at Milink kaka.

"Chipku ladki tumhara liye bhi samaan hai." he spoke makign Amruta excited.

"Raghav yeh kya tamasha hai." Sulochna kaku asked.

"Ab tum itna pyaar se puch raha hai toh bata hi deta hai lekin usse pehle. Farhad!" he called out for farhad who came in with a thali of laddoos and Amma and Keerti tagging along his side.

"Namaste" farhad greeted.

"Farhad tu khada kya hai sabko laddo khila." Raghav spoke.
"Bilkul Anna" Farhad gave laddoo to everyone one by one but baba refused.
"Raghav yeh sab kya hai aur kiss khushi main laddoo baat rahe ho." Sulochna kaku asked.

"Are replay ka khushi main." he replied with a smile.

"Replay? Kiska replay." Baba asked.

"Pallavi aur mera shaadi ka replay Sanki Sasur ji woh kehte hai na- woh hindi main tumhara woh favourite movie hai na Farhad." Raghav asked Farhad with fake innocence.

"Anna DDLJ. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge." Farhad replied with a smile.

"Han wohi. Dilwale Dilhani Lejayenge ka khushi main. Ardhamainda" Raghav smirked shocking the Deshmukh Niwas.
