FS: REPLAY
In this story for a little background, Raghav has actually explained everything to the D-fam and slowly and steadily the entire family has forgiven Pallavi. Even baba has forgiven her and now the entire family is at the Rao mansion.
"Pallavi mujhe toh poora yakeen the ki ek din sab tujhe zaroor samjhenge" Kaka smiled at a now ecstatic Pallavi as she distributed sweets among her family. Raghav stood at one side looking at her being so happy, he was at peace now that he has finally fullfilled his promise that he made to her some days ago. The 30 days challenge. And now he has won it which meant that Pallavi will neither leave him nor his family and now they will live happily ever after.
"Kaka ab iss sabka credit toh Raghav ko jata hai." she came to him with the plate of laddoo urging him to take one.
"Raghav Rao kabhi koi challenge nahin harta." he smiled a proud one as he took a laddoo from her, "Haina Farhad?"
"Bilkul Anna. Aapne toh impossible ko bhi possible krdiya." Farhad replied as everyone laughed.
"Isme impossible sirf Sanki Sasur the." Raghav joked but regretted the next moment as everyone stopped laughing and eyes him.
" Mera matlab Marathi father in law" he added scared of him wife's anger. In the past few days she had become a major part of his life. From cooking for him to having late night coffee chats they have experienced it all. To say that he was now used to her being around him would be an understatement, she was like the air around him without whom he would choke and die.
"Raghav tum bhi na. Abhi baba ko manaya hai aur abhi hi unhe naraaz karna chahte ho." she murmured to him hiding behind a smile as the family chatted among themselves.
"Sorry woh aadat ho gaya na." he replied silently holding one ear.
Everyone was so busy in their won worlds that they forgot that one important soul who sat among them with thoughts on his mind. Mr. Vijay Deshmukh never liked Raghav and now when the misunderstandings have been cleared, he was angrier than before. First of all at himself for not trusting his daughter and secondly at Raghav for taking his daughter away from him and caging her in a relationship that was based on blackmail, foul play and maybe fear. He eyed his daughter who stood at the opposite with her so called husband who appeared to say something to her, maybe blackmailing her again. For him his daughter was too naive to notice how cruel this man, Raghav Rao, was for this world. And he had enough of him.
"Pallavi." he called out to her and suddenly everyone went silent.
"Aho kya hua?" Sharda ji asked to which she was shown a palm.
"Main apni beti se kuch baat karna chahta hoon." he spoke in authority.
"Han baba boliye na.' pallavi asked, she had been dying to have a direct conversation with her baba since so many days and now he wans to talk to her himself.
"Agar tumhare pati ki ijazat ho toh main akele main kuch bat karna chahunga." baba taunted eyeing Raghav.
"Kyun nahin sasur ji. Pallavi aapka beti hai , usko mera permission ka zarurat nahin hai." Raghav replied with a smile.
"Baba aaiye hum kamre main chalke baat karte hai." Pallavi led her baba to her room while Amma urged everyone to start their talks again claiming that maybe the father-daughter duo needed some alone time after so long.
Baba entered the room and saw how lifeless it was with Raghav's picture all around. No picture of the married couple as expected but what he was not aware about was the picture that Raghav kept in his drawyer and his study room from their reception party, the thousands of picture he had of her ducked up in his closet and his cell phone, that he never wished she found out.
"Aiye na baba." pallavi called out to him as she saw him still standing at the door.
Baba walked in as he felt uncomfortable in that space, how was hs daughter even living with this man.
"Offo yeh Raghav na sab faila deta hai. rukiye main hatati hoon." Pallavi took her husband's clothes that he had piled up on one side of the room taking them to the laundary. No matter how much she scold him, he would still leave it out just to annoy her. It was their usual banter that kept them going.
Baba looked at his daughter cleaning the room. Was she here like a servant to that Raghav? Did he just marry her to show off his power?
"Baba boliye na aap kuch kehna chahte the." he didn't realised when Pallavi came back and stood beside him, her doe like eyes wide in excitement of meeting him.
"Waise mujhe bhi na aapse dher saari baatein karni hai, aai ke laddoo ke liye ladna hai, aapko kitna sab kuch batana hai aur maafi bhi mangni hai." she spoke.
"Maafi? Kyun?" he asked her.
"woh baba maine aapse dukaan ke accounts ki baat chhupai na isliye." she looked down.
"Pallavi." he made her look up, "Beta tumhara irada galat nahin tha lekin tareeka galat tha. Tujhe mujhse jhhooth nahin bolna chahiye tha bass." he explained to her what he had been hiding in him.
"Par ab sab theek ho gaya hai." he said.
"Han baba aur-" Pallavi shed happy tears.
"Aur ab bass tujhe apne ghar chalna hai." he cut her in sentence.
"Ghar? Par baba yahi toh mera ghar hai." she spoke in confusion.
"Pallavi yeh tera ghar nahin hai. Yeh uss Raghav Rao ka ghar hai. Tera ghar Deshmukh niwas hai." baba said in a stern voice.
"Baba main jaanti hoon ki aap Raghav se naraaz hai apr woh badal raha hai. Usne mere liye aap sabko manya aur maine aise kaise yeh ghar, usse, Amma aur Keerti ko chhodhkar apke saath chali jaun." she resisted.
"Aaj meri ek baat samajhle Pallavi. yeh Raaghav Rao jaise log kabhi nahin badal sakte. Inhe bass apna ghamand aur paisa dikhta hai." he exclaimed.
"Par Baba." Pallavi tried to make her baba understand. Leaving Raghav was no option for her now. He meant so much to her even though she never admitted.
"Par war kuch nahin Pallavi tu samaan bandh, hum abhi ghar jaa rahe hai." her baba pulled the suitcase out from the cupboard.
"Nahin baba main kahin nahin jaungi. yeh mera ghar hai aur Raghav mera pati." she resisted.
"Toh phir theek hai aaj ya toh baba ya phir Raghav." he turned in anger.
"Baba yeh-"
"tu bhul sakti hai Mandaar ko, apne ghar ko par tu aaj bhi mere liye meri beti hai Pallavi. Agar aaj tune Raghav ko chuna toh tu aone baba ka mara muh dekhegi." he gave his final statement sealing her mouth shut.
It had been 15 minutes that Pallavi had gone inside their room with her baba, raghav had now started to get a little restless cause she was not around him and he felt incomplete without her. An uneasiness had started to settle inside of him as if he was gonna loose something. farhad saw his uneasiness and walked to him.
"Anna aap theek toh hai na?" Farhad asked.
"Pata nahin Farhad par mereko kuch sahi nahin lag raha hai." he explained his uneasiness to his best friend.
"Kuch nahin hoga Anna woh aaj poora Deshmukh pariwar idhar hai na shayd isliye thora ajeeb lag raha hoga." farhad joked.
"Par kuch bhi bol farhad. Aaj jo khushi maine Pallavi ka chehre par dekha na uske liye inn dino jitna saha woh sab maaf. Uska chehra ekdum khil sa gaya tha na." he smiled reminsing the way she continuosly thanked him and that glitter in her eyes.
"Aho kidhar reh gaye?" Sharda ji asked.
"Are dono baap-beti lage honge gappe ladaane main." kaka joked, "Lo aapne yaad kara aur aa gaye."
Baba walked into the hall with Pallavi behind him with her head hung low and a suitcase in her hand.
"Aho kya hua?" Sharda ji asked.
"Pallavi kya hua? Aur tum yeh suitcase ke saath kya kar raha hai?" Amma asked.
Raghav felt the uneasiness grow inside of him, he wanted her to look at him for once to give him sme peace but she kept looking at the floor. Pallavi, he called out to her in his heart as he always does and she by their connection, always felt it.
"Pallavi hamare saath ghar jaa rahi hai." baba replied.
"Achcha woh pag phera ka rasam ke liye.Chalo achcha hai. Raghav kal shaam ko lene pahuch jayega." Amma smiled.
Raghav didn't like the idea of Pallavi leaving the house or him for even an hour and now for an entire day how will he survive.
"Nahin!" baba retorted, "Pallavi hamare saath jaa rahi hai hamesha hamesha ke liye"
Everyone stood shocked at the sudden announcement while Raghav felt as if the floor slipped beneath his speed as his heart stopped beating.
