After our very first successful discussion on the topic of "If you could change something about Mata Ki Chowki, what would you change and why?", here comes our second discussion. The first discussion will not close or stop, just because we have another one as it would be useful for the MKC team and Sahara One if they stumbled upon it, so you can still express your ideas if you want to and it might one day, shape MKC's future.....

To our second discussion..... This discussion is all about Vaishnavi, she has been born on Earth to unknown-to-us-as-the-audience parents but has been brought up by foster parents. Vaishno Devi (Mata Rani) is her mother and as we have outlined in the previous discussion, GOD is one, who takes avtars (different forms) to fulfill a certain role, such as a father, a protector, a teacher etc, so GOD has manifested into Mata and amongst the Matajis, we have one more prominent one: Vaishno Mata Rani. Since Vaishnavi has been "chosen" or is lucky to actually see Mata Rani in real life, to talk to her and ask for her help and much more, this discussion is about, is this fair?

Keeping in mind that this is a fictitious serial and so they have to have Vaishnavi interacting with the Devtas and Mata Rani, we will discuss this topic.

Is it fair that we see Vaishnavi, a simple/normal bhakt, interacting with God? To be honest, it makes me a bit jealous that I get to worship a stone idol or a picture, whereas Vaishnavi gets the real God.......

What are your guys thoughts and opinions? Remember its a fictitious story and so they would have had to make Vaishnavi's character interacting with the Devtas/Deviyan to make the Parikshas etc work!

My feeling is that there is no need to be jealous - we outselves interact with God each day - or atleast this is the Muslim belief ... He and we are in constant communication ... so, I am not jealous!

It isn't just the muslim belief, its the belief in all religions. Every miracle/action can be explained in two ways:
  1. The traditional way with God
  2. The scientific way that hasn't always been proven correctly
Everything in life (if you reflect on your life) has given you experience to shape you the way you are today, but if you look deeper, you'll find certain things (that can't be scientifically proven) effect you more and once you start believing that yes it is God doing this, then you find yourself thanking God for simple things that people don't like catching a bus after running for it or something like if you miss the bus then you might do something or find something on the way to your destination that is worth more to you than catching the bus....

So yes it is the basic principle of all religions with God(s).

The best part of hinduism, is when your feeling lonely, you can just go to a physical idol and talk to God in this way, getting things out of your system, can help resolve them with God's influence instead of just being alone for longer. Hinduism was the first religion to talk about meditating on God, which has many benefits, that you can also do daily or when your alone etc....

Being in constant communication is another thing Hinduism talks about but is neglected simply by the fact that science has proven everything wrong and that there is no mystery about God(s) who doesn't "exist".

A lot of Hindu aspects have been used in other religions - mainly Jainism and Sikhism (because geographically, they are around India where most of the Hindus are). Hinduism doesn't have a start date for the simple fact that more modern religions have destroyed ruins or artefacts that could have been used to scientifically date Hinduism, but it isn't possible.

The worse part about Hinduism is that there is a no violence policy, meaning people won't fight back when other people are physically destroying them.

But yeah, apart from deviating from the topic a lot, it isn't just Islam that preaches about constant communication, but Hinduism, probably Christianity, Jainism, Sikhism, Judaism and these are just to name the prominent ones that I know of.

So anyways, my answer to my own discussion is that although I am jealous of Vaishnavi as she gets to physically see God, I still can see God too in the form of idols but more importantly, in my heart and feelings.

I think Islam and the concept of having no idols ties in ith the Hindu belief of Nirakar Upasan, as in the previous discussion is having no idols but concentrating on the one true God instead of one of it's avtars. So in a way, Islam and Hinduism are similar.

Also, if I sound preachy, I'm sorry, if I insulted anyone's religion, sorry and no offence is intended, I will be happy to explain what I meant and not trying to be religion-ist.... I guess what I am talking more about is how contemporary and modern society has taken over the traditional ways of life, which should never have happened! My ideas are influenced by the fact I am very interested in Sociology and the study of cultures/religions/traditions, mainly for Hindu and Indian society!
