If you could change something about Mata Ki Chowki, what would you change and why?

I hope this turns into a nice discussion, with constructive criticisms, so if anybody from the Mata Ki Chowki team visit this forum, they can get something out of it!

Please don't say, change an actor, get rid of the show or bash the actors, please.

I would change the whole dream/bhavishyavani thing. I would make it so that Vaishnavi just had this feeling and went to do these Parikshas and then found out something new, like the next part of the fortune-telling, not show it at the beginning so that it can keep coming in subsequent episodes.

E.g. After the first pariksha, she can find out her house is burning, after the second, someone is doing it (the person in the cloak), then it could have been one of the characters corpse etc.....

This, I think, would make it a bit more interesting.

I would definitely not show the promo that is on TV now either for Mata Ki Chowki as that just reveals the story and is pointless then....

I would change that this is turning into a Saas Bahu Serial with Vaishnavi forgiving her in laws and her husband even though they are wrong all the time!

I will change the concept of Vaishnavi going heaven for giving the tests ..also will change this multiple gods concept ..(Agni Dev/Brahmya Dev/Visnu Dev/Ganesh Dev etc.)
We call the ONE with various names according to our taste and inclinations ..So in case of Vaishnavi ,it is Mata Rani ..The INFINITE POWER is one ..we call it by various names ..

Good point - as in some of the dialogues, it seems like the Gods are jealous that Vaishnavi gives so much attention to MR. It's almost like she is being punished for it, and so is MR.
If we follow that God is one no matter what form you see him/her in - whether it being the form of MR, etc. then there is no fighting amongst the gods ...

In some forms of Hinduism like Arya Samaj, the belief of many gods is not held. In fact, through Arya Samaj, they state that in the original beliefs of Hinduism, there was one god, who took various forms to embody the attritubute the person was thinking about - so for instance, MR is the embodiment of a mother - what Vaishnavi is lacking in her life. For others, Krishna is the embodiment of god ... essentially, instead of showing many gods, the one god represents everything for a person, and that god carries all the attributes a person requires - the all-knowing, the all-seeing, the creator, the sustainer, the destroyer, the mother, the father, etc.

This sort of clears up what I was confused about. But isn't this what Hinduism generally says?

Parabrahm is the one and only true God, all other gods are Parabrahm's avatars, which is why whenever you watch a religious program from the beginning then they say that that God is Parabrahm, but Parabrahm is like indescribable and without attributes if you get what I mean. E.g. Ramayan says Vishnu is Parabrahm as he made the universe and all other gods, whereas Shiv Puran says it is Shiv and Devi Mahatmya says its Devi/Durga/Mataji.....

All avatars just fill a space almost. So if I wanted it to rain, then I would pray to the rain god (Indra or Varun, not sure exactly which). If I want it to be sunny, then I would pray to Surya Dev. If I'm stuck in a problem, I'd pray to Vighnaharta - Ganesh....... But all gods converge into One God - Parabrahm?

Is this what your trying to say?

Well not exactly - but it's close to what I meant - the whole thing is that no matter how you look at it, there really isn't more than one god.

ya ...u r partly right ..

Our religion is the most ancient one ...There are as many as 1000 sects in Hinduism..Like Shaktas(they worship Mahadeva Shiv),Vaishnavs(worship Lord Vishnu ) etc .

Yet these all sects has lived in India in harmony ..Becauze each sect admits that like different rivers follow different path before merging into the same ocean , people preaching through different sects ultimately attain to the same TRUTH or Parabrahm or Brahman . Here comes the concept of one's 'Ishta'..(the right path suitable to one's test & inclinations to attain the ultimate realization about one's true SELF..).So someone like to worship/meditate Siva or Visnu or Mata Rani or Ma Kali or any other gods..Actually it's the path for Sakar Upasana (meditating on a form like MR/Vishnu/Shiva etc .. It's easy to meditate on a form ..most people follow this path. As you have mentioned , some sects worship the Brahman without any attributes or Form .This called Nirakara upasana. But ultimately both come to the same resilt/realization) .
Here Vaishnavi's Ishtadevi is Mata Rani . One can pray for anything to my Ishta Devi/Deva regardless of nature of prayers.
Actually it's not possible to write everything..I can tell you if you read Gita meticulously , you will be able to grasp some grand ideas of Hinduisim which was preached about 5000 yrs B.C. The essence of our religion is told in Gita .
In MKC , the way of portraying multiple gods or the theme that Vaishnavi have to gain confidence fron other gods is totally wrong .Creatives have written this to increase TRP .
