I agree with the majorty...before tasting any dish one looks at the presentation...if it looks good then you would taste it. I fornone would have gone for Devyani's faluda rather than Doyal's who's one looked a right mess. Devyani's sugar flakes on the top of the faluda were also soo much better than Doyal's.

You know today when judges made big deal of presentation vs taste i was bit annoyed..because both are important for MCI thats what the judges have always said..why contradict now

Neways i remember sachins dish was not tasted due to bad presentation..today seemed too scripted

It is made of cornflour and water and I think these people added rose water and colour as well. The other part that made up the red portion was rose syrup which is nothing but sugar, water , rose essence and colour. Sugar would have been the only differentiating factor - not something that required any chef to make a face or act all serious as we all prefer different levels of sugar in our desserts

very well said!
if they wanted they could have shown the faluda was hard or something but no explanation at all!
devyani took so much care in everything, but still she was eliminated! 😡

Problem is judges can't say the noodles was hard as it was Chef Ajay who told them whether the mix was translucent enough to start making the noodles (Remember Devyani calling him and holding up the bowl to show?)😆

I know little about cooking, n also didn't watch the episode. so could you guys answer me?
Doyal had only 3 layers as seen in the jar. So that means all the layers were mixed with each other. How did the judges taste the different layers to say she was better than Devyani?

When Navneets jelly was inedible Ishrat went, only coz she couldn't complete the presentation accurately.

Honestly, the judges lack consistency in judgement.

Exactly 👍🏼
