Hi friends
Just a quick thought . Do you think that the extension of maryada has destroyed the serial or do you think it has gone better

When maryada was supposed to go off air in those weeks it became one of the best serials of star plus but now it seem to be dragging on

So was the extension a good idea or not

They should have ended it or kept it for two weeks with a good ending by Devyani marrying the Lawyer!

Now, this serial is boring & going nowhere!

I wouldnt say the extension has destroyed the show. If it had finished on the given date in January then it would have been a race to the finishing line.

Brahma would either be dead or in jail. none of this whether he is dead or alive.

Of course the aftermath of the revelation wouldnt be shown in detail.
Aditya Priya wouldnt have separated, with the extension we will hopefully get to see them building their relationship and working on it to form a strong foundation.

Uttara wouldnt have been pregnant.
Vidya, well she doesnt seem to be going anywhere anyway. Maybe she will join this NGO.

Devyani SJs relationship will blossom now ans she will get a chance to be truly happy and respected.

I just feel the CVs need to work on the stories they've got at the moment without adding more or introducing new characters.
And just speed it up a bit.

I can't say the extension was entirely bad but I can see that the show is slipping in some areas

It's fine, every show drags a little bit, it's still a great show and you can't say it's going downhill after a few boring episodes. There are only 2 complaints: one is Vidya, I want to see her being more than just the blind supporter. I'm sure they'll show her charcter develop more, I just hope they do it soon. The other complaint is the Adi-Priya relationship which is complicated. But everything else is great, Uttara's story is touching, i'm loving the Devyani-SJ fling and Brahma's escape is very suspensful as well. They are doing fine, it's just a little slow, I'm sure they'll pick up the pace soon. It's still less of a drag than most other shows :s

You guys expect something big and dramatic to happen every single day! they can't show something dramatic and drama filled every single episode, especially since its on 5 days a week. It's not like television shows here in North America where we only get episodes once a week so they can keep showing that drama. And even then we have episodes that aren't all that dramatic but it's fun to watch just because you get to see your favourite actors interact.

I for one don't see any "dragging" because I'm used to only watching my favourite shows here once a week anyway and these guys are expected to perform every single day! I'm glad the extension happened, now there won't be a rushed ending that just leaves all the fans feeling dissatisfied. I know I would've and I've seen it happen before. There would have been too many questions

I wonder if the scare of closing down hadn't happened then we would still be having the affair of Brahma Uttara going on, she having the baby and more tears n dragging... so atleast the show moved on
But now they have many more epi to eat so Vidya will keep sitting at home, lecturing others instead of doing something useful with her life.. we know Daksh left the show, but show-wise, Gaurav doesn't care for his family and that track went bad with a message that gay people have to flee from India to survive!

I'm reminded of the wonderful UK shows tht have few epi. but each of them are packed with high voltage drama, great scripts and acting and viewers are left begging for more...

These days I'm only watching SJ Devyani scenes, rest is just so predictable n kind of boring!
