@Vasu... 🤗Your perspective on Aditya and Priya and their love story was awesome to read. I agree with everything you said...completely. I hope you keep coming back to share your perspective...love it!

he is spontaneous but I don't think he is impulsive to the point of naivety. I think he's just the kind of guy who thinks "why waste precious time when I know in my heart what I want".

Completely agree. Although I find the track too fast sometimes, the only reason it works is that the writers have sketched Aditya's character as this spontaneous kinda fellow from day 1.

It is obvious that the creatives feel that the real story of Maryada begins when Priya becomes SSP's bahu and comes face to face with him.

Spot on. This is one of the reasons that illogical as it may be, I fully expect that the marriage between Aditya & Priya will happen without Brahmanand being around. The confrontation between Priya and Brahmanand will happen after the marriage.

@Caco...I rarely read the spoilers and news articles on this show but I read the Gaurav one. 😒. While I knew that the hints on his being gay probably meant he was not, I was hoping against hope that this series would take that leap.

Nice analysis by Jaya and Vasu.
Another thing I like about the way in which Raquesh is portraying Aditya's character is the way in which he changes his style according to suit the character he is communicating with - the flair with which his body language, personality and dialogue delivery change from that of lover boy with Priya, devar with Vidya, as the outgoing younger brother to the reserved Gaurav, the loving, protective older brother to his sister (forgot her name) and then being the affectionate son, grandson, nephew to Brahmanand, Devyani, Bauji and Uttara. And then there is his unique friendship with Jaggi.
As I have mentioned before that I am really very impressed at the way all the characters are being etched along with the dynamics among them. Does anyone else that Vidya is subconsciously already following Devyani's footsteps where she is trying to put on the facade of everything being alright?
Have not seen the article you all are mentioning about Gaurav not being gay. It would have been nice to see the serial take that route. But then on the other hand, it would not give the scope for a Vidya-Gaurav romantic track which I am sure many of viewers would like to see.

November 30, 2010 - Tuesday

Good episode today...not much to analyze though. Some of the things that stood out for me:

Devyani - Gaurav

So Gaurav's mystery lover is in the hospital recovering and here he goes on the offensive towards Devyani by threatening to leave if she ever forced him to do something against his will again. Devyani tries to defend herself in vain by explaining that she got him married to Vidya as Brahmanand would have never accepted Gaurav's relationship.

Uttara - Rishabh

The calm phase continued today with Uttara's underlying fears coming out subtly in her conversation with Rishabh such as her visible concern about Rishabh's lack of a clear business idea. Rishabh brought up Tara, their daughter, and just as he leaves, she calls home but does not speak to Uttara who answers the phone. Interesting...this suggests Tara's entry in the series is imminent...maybe at Aditya's wedding?

Vidya - Gaurav

I loved this scene. In fact I have loved all the interactions between this couple thus far. Vidya is clearly attracted to Gaurav and cannot stop herself from sneaking a peak at him as he changed clothes. Her day dream was perfectly placed and is completely consistent with both the character and the relationship dynamic between the two.

Priya - Chinu - Aditya

Parts of this sequence worked for me while others did not. Priya's closing her eyes to see Aditya instead of Brahmanand's assault, like she did just the day before, was very abrupt. It seems incredibly hurried to show such a big change of heart within a day's worth of events. What can I say...I am very disappointed at the speed with which this track is moving. How can a character who has gone through something as traumatic as molestation replace that horrific image with that of a guy she is barely falling in love with...so quickly? I did, however, like the touch of having Priya rushing to share this development with her father.

That Priya would call Aditya was predictable. I did like the twist of having her get Chinu to call but not speak and instead listen. Well done.

Overall: Good episode.

Loved:

  1. The usual: Screenplay, acting and character detailing.
  2. The Uttara - Gaurav sequence

Hated:

  1. Priya's character replacing the image of the molestation by Brahmanand with that of Aditya so quickly.

As always, feel free to tear this apart.

Cheers,

Jaya

REserved😎 Jayaaaaaaaa we love you too😳 Cacoooooooooooooo, our LOVE for someone makes our fraandship more special🤣
Analysis for yest episode coming up soon.....
Gaurav - What I suspected that Gaurav was forced into this marriage, came out to be true😆 Now I wonder why could he not get married to his love??😕
Uttara and his GFN husband😡 - I have a strong feeling that the client gonna set his evil eye on Uttara Lets see how her GFN husband handle this😡 As it is he is so insecure of her beauty
Gaurav -Vidya scene - Now that was BOLD😊 I missed few seconds here and after seducing wala part, directly saw when Gaurav wanted to go to sleep Do not know how he came out of his reverie😕
Adi-Priya Scene - Awwwwwwwwww! So Priya was WORRIED about Aditya haan😉😆 I liked the cute phone conversation.😆 This guy is so straight forward! Directly asked her to come and meet him tomorrow😃 Aditya does not like to waste time😉😆 Now I can totally imagine their SR. 😳😆😆 Aditya locks the door and directly pounce on Priya😆 Though I would like to see some foreplay☺️
One thing I did not like. The way Priya was seeing Aditya in her dreams and came rushing to her Father to tell that. I think her switch over from seeing SSP to Aditya in dream was quite rushed up.
Once again, editing, acting, flow were all perfect.👍🏼
