Border 2 announcement teaser: Sunny Deol's army man avatar to create buzz as crowds' flock to see War 2

Border 2 is expected to make nothing less than Rs 3,000 crore at the box office. There is immense organic hype for the movie. Sunny Deol has again stepped into the shoes of his legendary onscreen character of major Kuldeep Singh. Joining him are young guns like Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty in lead roles. The main shoot got over a month back, and now the team is ready with an announcement video to build hype for the movie. The director of Border 2 is Anurag Singh. He has made much loved movies like Kesari 2, Punjab 1984, Jatt & Juliet and others. The makers have cut a one-minute announcement video with Sunny Deol, which captures the gist of the movie and spirit of Border 2.

A source told Pinkvilla that the announcement teaser will see a digital launch on August 15, and the KDM will be shown across all multiplex chains in the Independence Day weekend with War 2. The Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR and Kiara Advani film is expected to have one of the biggest weekends of 2025.

“The producers have done a back-end deal with the national multiplex chains to screen the Border 2 teaser with War 2, and everyone has willingly agreed to do the same.”

WAR 2 has taken all the IMAX screens in India for this Independence Day. The teaser of Border 2 will also be sent to single screen cinema halls in India. The makers have mounted it on a lavish scale making it the biggest war movie of Indian cinema. It is set against the backdrop of the 1972 India – Pakistan War that had a huge impact on geopolitics in the region.

War 2 directed by Ayan Mukerji has been shot in five different nations. The sensuous look of Kiara Advani has already gone viral.
