I wouldn't mind paying a Dollar more than planetvu for ZEE marathi. ($9.99 over $8.99 or so). But mind it watchindia has 400 kbps and also 800 kbps options. So 800 kbps would be a sweeet. I have 12 mbps down and 2 mbps up from comcast.

The only thing I am not sure about is if I can host it on XP MCE. I did watch planetvu on XP MCE. It's kind of no different from regular TV.

Hello ChocoLady,

I spoke to Ross again before couopple of days and I did not get a good feeling. First of all he said he is in teleconference, so I offered calling him back later. He said no send me an email. So I did. It is been 3 days and no response.

I guess everybody deserve to know if they are closing down. That way we can burrie the dead. Do you think you can take a chance by calling him. Just ask him quick question. When are you closing down ? Sorry to be rude but this will do the trick and he can reveal if they still think they can run. TIA.

There is no point checking back with anybody at planetvu. They are cold dead. I am sad to see that marathi language is not given any attention anywhere. Maharashtra is a major state in India but unfortunately we marathi people don't carry our language with us.

I have been here in US for almost 8 years now. Slowly all other languages have creeped in somehow on Dish or broadband but marathi channels are hard to find.

While back at home in pune few years ago I saw one board "Aamachi kuthehi shakha naahi" and that is so true about my mother tounge too. "Mazya bhashechi maharashtra baher kuthehi shakha naahi".

Anyways, we will try our best to push the providers we know and see if anybody is willing to take that challenge to host ZEE marathi.

mnop, i have to agree with crossroads, it's evident that planetvu isn't making any efforts to salvage customer relations. whatshisname could have called u back if they cared, but obviously they're trying to avoid calls. i'm not wasting any more time on them... we should definitely try other avenues.

i'm in india now so i can't make calls to other service providers in the US, if someone can take that initiative, i'll be happy to write up whatever email is required for backup etc.

Thanks,
ChocoLady
