Hey guys,

I'm new to this forum, and a planetvu subscriber. I discovered this forum as i was wandering around the net looking for videos/updates for Asambhav and other serials. Thanks to the members from india who have been posting updates, i think i'm caught up to date!

I spoke to the Chief Technology Officer at Planetvu today, and he informed me that service will not resume for another 8-10 days at least. I requested that they update the main page regularly to keep the subscribers in the loop. I think most of us are okay with the fact that they're down in order to make changes that will improve the service, but it is the lack of updates and poor customer service that frustrates us.

Possibly one of the Planetvu representatives will visit this forum to communicate with the members. If you're a planetvu subscriber, pls post your concerns and suggestions here, so we can make our voices heard to the planetvu management.

Thanks,

ChocoLady

Thanks to everyone who replied here. I will email my contact at planetvu, however i don't think they will do much unless many more people make the request. I am thinking of creating an online petition to send to them. If you think we can get enough people to sign the petition, then we can request planetvu to show the programs we have missed.

What do u think?

Did anyone tried sending planetvu email ? I am getting bounced from last few days on their all listed addresses like customerservice, feedback, customersupport, help etc. Also there is no response from their mother company Pinacle Capital.
If you have any contact information like phone number please post it. I do not feel good about it.

ChocoLady can you please post how you were able to meet CTO ? Any effort you want to make please count me in.. We all luv planetvu and we can contribute to get it back into business if we can help.

TIA

mn_op:

i had the same experience as you... my emails were bouncing back... finally i called up the CTO, (I got it through someone I know) I even told him ke the mail addy you have listed is not working, mails are bouncing... told him the user community is getting very frustrated and upset (this was only based on a couple of posts i saw here on zee marathi 😕 ) He listened and seemed concerned, but basically he told me to send an email to someone who reports directly to him... and to give the person the URL of the user community so planetvu can come and address the users.

problem is hardly any ppl seem to care.. everyone is just complaining.. and i don't want to bring the matter up to the CTO/Planetvu again unless we can get a fair number of ppl voicing their concerns, otherwise our strategy will just backfire, know what i mean?

That's why I'm thinking of starting a petition, signed by as many users and then take it back to planetvu. what do u think? do u know enough planetvu subscribers? can u help me with this effort?

The reason for the delay given to me was that a physical move was entailed. I think they're moving servers or something. But there is no problem financially, this company seems to be doing quite well if u read reports online.

But I'm upset abt the way they have handled this... we're paying subscribers and we deserve to be treated better than this. The technical aspect of the service is quite good, no complaints, but the customer service part is very bad. I have documented every single day that we had a service disruption, but all this is no use unless we make a united effort to demand answers from planetvu.

Online petition is affective only if it has lots of signatures. I doubt we know enough to make a difference. There is no doubt there is some problem with them. I think if we know "the problem" we can extend the help if can because we care for planetvu as a community portal. One reason we do not hear lot of people complainig is that all chanel on their line up are available somewhere else except Zee Marathi(If I am not wrong). Please note that they have monopoly in this regard. Zee Marathi viewers should not be that many.
After you talked to CTO on their login page. there no change as he promised so hopefully he gave you good estimate of 8 - 10 days.
I guess they shut down the communication chanel (email server) so they cannot hear their customers. We should attempt to let them hear what we feel. That can be done by their phone/fax lines or any other means. If you can share their fax, I proomised to fax them daily report and my hopes.
Please share your thoughts and as I indicated earlier I am with you board to help out may be shelling dollars or technical services if that is so desired.
