Anyway with now some clarity that Gauri will be coming to Benaras soon, we can expect some khicha taani at Shukl house. If we look at all the members we can generally work out who will support and who will oppose Gauri. For starters, Chuttan and Bauji are staunchly pro-Gauri. Amma is staunchly anti-Gauri. Ram Bhaiyya is a goofy character and it looks like his inputs will have no value and most likely be ignored (just as Bauji kept ignoring him the other day). Ram Bhaiyya's wife seems a pleasant character (she was eager to do that aarti when Shiv arrived) so she could secretly be a supporter of Shiv, unless coerced by Amma. Shiv's sister is very close to Shiv (that was visible when they hugged during their first meeting after Shiv arrived) so I assume she will back Shiv. Shiv's BIL is a pompous character and likely to oppose Gauri for being a paraprantiya. Which means that Gauri has quite a lot of backing at Benaras.
Of course the deciding factor will be Dadi.
If Dadi accepts Gauri reluctantly then it leaves a lot of room for kitchen politics after marriage. If Dadi is accepting Gauri wholeheartedly then I wouldthink that the serial will be all about Gauri adjusting to the Shukl parivar (with Amma putting in some obstacles now and then). I hope the CV's choose the second option. That's my POV.

The reason that KDP and KKK don't have maha-epi is that they may not be in favor of ZM bosses. As it is if they are going to show Gauri spending her married life in Banaras with 2 vamps (amma and dadi) breathing down her neck it will be difficult to watch. At the end of course she will win everyone's heart near the end of the serial whenever it happens.

I'm not 100% sold on Sarla either. There seems to a potential scope for negativity within her.

Then again, I'm taking cues for the Shukla parivar from my previous experience with Hindi serials, so I might be wrong 😃

Urmila likes her little brother, but that like may or may not extend to Gauri, especially with her pompous husband who has declared that they will not set foot in the house if Gauri comes in.

Re the mahaepi, we had the first after 100 episodes, so second after another 100- so still another 40 or so epis away possibly.

@Rucha21, @aekiel, I think everything hinges on Dadi's views. Only Amma will fight on single handedly(covertly) against Gauri after marriage. All others will fall in line as per Dadi's views IMO.

So Baba does come along after all. Some fireworks definitely in store, with feisty folks in the form of Amma, Dadi and Baba.

Good bit is that Amma, while being mad, is a little less mad in front when Baba is around- patriarchy I guess 😆
