CHAPTER FORTY EIGHT




Mamta stops him....

"Akshay,he's here to take me and Ganapathy from here......"😭

"What???Mamta,are you serious...?? 😕 😭 "

"Akshay,I can't live with you anymore....my conscience doesn't allow me to do that....I'm leaving this house,you and all my past memories....Now,you are free to do what ever you want.I'llnever be an obstacle for you...." 😭😭

"Mamta,what are you talking???You want to leave me...without even knowing the truth....Is our love so weak and helpless that we need external proofs to justify our love..."😕 😭

"Akshay,It's you who has destroyed the sublimity of our love..and you want me to trust you again...I've always trusted you against all odds..but this is far more than my patience can take.After all I'm also a human being and not a lifeless doll without any feelings...This time you've lost me more ever...." 😭😭😭

Akshay is lost for words cos he cannot believe his ears and stands there as if uprooted from his very source of life,the tears of his agony frozen in his lifeless yet expressive eyes...😭

"Sid ,you please wait for me in the hall...I'll soon come down..."

Mamta tearfully packs some of her things and picks up Ganapathy .She slowly walks away from him....unable to harden her heart and unable to control her tears....Before getting out of the room...she finally remembers all the happy days spent in this room with Akshay...and stares at the wedding photo with tears...😭

"Mamta,😭you can't leave me....please don't leave me.😭Right now you are angry and that is why you can't make out the reality....I can't live without you and Ganapathy....neither can you...then why are you punishing me...and hurting me like this....For God's sake....stop....and listen to me...."

Mamta cries😭,but she knew she had to leave ....The more she stopped ,the more it became difficult for her to make her heart stronger on the decision to leave her life and go....

She brushes him aside and goes to the door.Akshay blocks her way and shouts😡😭..... "No...No...you can't leave me...You love me and you can't live without me...." he breaks down..."It's there in your eyes,in your heart...then why are you trying to hurt yourself more than me...why??Mamta..."

But,Mamta is adamant and she tries to go...Ganapathy starts to cry😭....looking at Akshay...akshay couldn't bear the tears in his son's eyes and takes him away from Mamta....and walks towards the balcony consoling him.... "Beta,don't cry...Mamma is just a bit angry...she'll never leave your Pappa...calm down...you're my brave Junior....."

Mamta is scared and goes to him and begs to him to give back Ganapathy....

"Mamta,he's my son too.....and you can't take him away from me....he means everything to me....I'm his father..."

"Akshay...."she cries with fury.... "You know that I cannot live without him.......You've snatched away all my desires to live and now you want to snatch the very source of life and breath from me.....I'm his mother and I cannot live without him....neither can he...."

"And what about me???He is no one to me....How can I live without him and you....??Doesn't a father have any feelings...."

"If you had feelings you would have never destroyed our lives...you yourself has ruined our world.......our dreams....Now,I know that "love is nothing but a fantacy,infidlity and a shattering dream....it always gives pain only...first you yearn to get your love and then you yearn to forget the pain given by love.....you are always at the losing end...you gain nothing ,but you lose everything...."

"Anyways,I've to live for my child...cos there's only one relationship that is true and pious and that is of a mother and child and no one can deny that...not even you.And I don't want my child to undergo all the pain I'm undergoing...Akshay,give him to me..."

She takes Ganapathy from his hands and turns to leave.Akshay,stands there lifeless as iof a thousand arrows tearing apart his heart and soul...A final sound of sigh comes from his mouth, "Mamta..."😭 😕

Mamta stops as per her hearts wish but her mind was at the winning end...so she walks again....and she thinks in her mind , "Akshay...I cannot stay here with you...or it'll be like forcing myself into a world that I have lost long before....I'll feel suffocated....and You only created this gulf between us and this can never be filled up.....never ,Akshay..."

CHAPTER FIFTY ONE




She keeps the aarti back in the temple..and goes to her room...Akshay follows her...

"Akshay,why don't you leave and come back at eleven? 😕 😡 " she says angrily...

"Mamta...if I have to come back at eleven again..then why not now??You can tell me right now that you've forgiven me...."

"Forgiven you..huh!! I hate you and I'll hate you Akshay,forever...for what you did to me and my love.." 😭 😭 "Please don't hurt me more by coming in front of me everytime....You know that it's painful for me to stay away from you...but that is the right punishment you deserve...so,please leave me and my child alone...cos you are making it very difficult for me to forget my past..." 😭 😭 😭

Akshay feels really hurt,but hides it with a smile and walks to her.... "I know you are saying this cos you are angry now....Your heart doesn't want to believe that I'm wrong but your mind wants to convince you....Mamta,listen to your heart...Trust your heart...I can never betray you..."

Mamta wants to believe him wholeheartedly,but she thinks about Tanisha... "What'll happen to her and her child???"

She ignores him and starts arranging the room...Ganapathy is still asleep.She picks up some of the old books and climbs up the chair to place it on the shelf..

"Mamta,you come down or you'll fall cos your hand won't reach there 😆 ....I'll do it 😳 ."

He gets up to help her...But,...

"No,need...I'll do it myself.... 😡 "

Akshay,moves back and sits on the bed watching her...then takes on a book to read..

Suddenly a wind blows and the entire stack of books come down .Her saree too flies off.... 😳

She stands there wondering whether to save the books or to hold her saree's pallu that was flying in the air leaving her quite embarrassed. 😆 Nervously,she tries to hold the books and balanced them from falling with her two hands ,but her saree....she stood there helplessly...she tries to ignore Akshay....and tries to cover her saree with her chin but unsuccessful.She couldn't leave the books or they'll fall down.Akshay sits there trying to look as if he was not seeing anything 😉 😳 .It made her more uncomfortable.. 😆 😆 😆

Finally on looking at her helplessness,he gets up and comes to her.She looks away from him.He holds her flying saree and puts it on her shoulder😳 and wounds it around her waist😳 to tuck it there😳...Mamta feels weird and looks at him angrily...then slowly the anger vanishes and she remembers old days....All of a sudden the books come crumbling down and she falls off the stool.Akshay holds her and they both fall on the floor 👏 .They both look into each other's eyes and tears fall off their eyes....😳😭
