You can definitely know more about a person by just observing him/her for a few mins and for that he/she doesn't have to have a smashing personality.

If the guy across the street is so vain that he's making judgments based on someone's looks, then he's not worth it anyway.

That's why Shiv is special. He has never made a judgment about Mahi based on her looks not even when she was endlessly rude to him. Those are the kind of people that matter.

Yes, I agree that Ishan was a total sweetheart in the last episode making Mahi feel so comfortable! He won my heart there and then.

But babe that's reality. Take clothes for example, sometimes we chose fashion over comfort, we wear heels even when it kills our feet lol

but anyway, to say the person across the street is shallow because he won't make a move unless he likes what he sees is kinda not fair. IMO. But if he makes a move based on appearances and remains with the person because the person looks good is SHALLOW. Isn't it true tht it is looks that first catches ones attention? And theN personality comes into play?

As for shiv, he's really known her since her childhood so he's not going to be that judgemental of her which can carve the pathway for love.

when a person gets 60 or 70 they might not look as pretty or as hot as they once did.. then all that matters is the heart of the person..!! looks come and go whenever u want but the persons heart stays the same

all i can say is ur a shallow person..

Well, maybe it's just me then, I don't care about fashion, I wear what I like. Yes, I wear heels too, not just for fashion but because I like them.

I still think it's vain and shallow to make a judgment about anyone based on his/her looks/body size. If I see this person across the street and he's overweight, not so handsome, I will not just make an opinion that I will never like him. Just like if I see this guy in a party who's just stunningly handsome, I will not make a move until I actually that he seems like a good person too.

Yes, if I see this guy who's swearing all the time, trying to appear cool but instead just falling flat on his face with everything he's saying, then I'll surely make a judgment and avoid him.

My point is very simple, I do not think people should be judged by their looks at all. They should be observed for a few mins and then you can make a call if you'd like to know them more or not.

Well, Shiv has treated her with respect and honesty even when he didn't know that she was 'his Mahi.' This is the reason I love him. He's not judgmental of Mahi not because she's his childhood friend, but because he's just not judgmental of people based on their looks. Period. This is why I think Mahi-Shiv are perfect.

but dont u think a few mins are too litle to determine ANYONEs character? You'd have to literally stalk the person to find out if that person is genuinely good or not. And why would you even observe the guy across the street and not the one next to you? simply because the guy across the street has something that's appealing to you, could be the way they dress, talk, or even look.

see that's what im saying a well, You cannot pass judgement on ANYONE based on looks, that's simply wrong. but when a guy meets a girl its because of ATTRACTION, physical attraction, not because they have great personalities. youll never get to know what a person is like until you spend quality time with them. It is only after that that one decides wether this attractive person is worth the time or not.

I disagree, you can get a pretty good sense of someone's personality by first look. The way someone carries himself/herself, the way they talk, just by observing someone for a couple minutes one can know a lot, for that you don't have to stalk them.

I'm not saying that you can know about a person completely! But you can get a pretty good sense of their personality.

Yes, there's something in someone that attracts us to him. What I am saying is that that something doesn't have to be good looks, perfect figure only. That something can be the way they talk, smile, their sense of humor... anything at all.

i think it would be unfair and completely wrong to pass ANY sort of judgement based on few minutes because you DONT know what state that person is in at the moment YOURE judging them.
if you see a guy swearing you're going to say this person is not my type, but what if he's having a really bad day, or he got fired from his job and hes just letting his angst out? would it be fair for you to say this guys a total loser cuz hes swearing? would it be fair for you to write him off?

Maybe the way I said it was unclear.

By judgment I didn't mean making a final call about someone's character. By that I meant we can have a good idea of whether or not we would like to go ahead with it.

And trust me, one can always tell if someone's swearing/in a bad mood just today for a reason or this person is always like that. At least I can easily tell by meeting people the first time if I would want them as friends etc. or not.

Anyway, I think we've digressed enough from the original topic enough. I'll leave it to this. :)
