I also agree that she is happy with her weight ... and the chocolates ... and tasty food. And she doesnt give a damn what people think...
But she is looking for a tall, dark and handsome ... fit ... slim ... individual? ... Is that her standard of attractiveness? ... Is that her standard of beauty and cuteness? ... Is that another pack of chocolate which she desperately wants, and must have?
Why was she so offended when another fat man's proposal came for her? ... Is it not that fatness is not the measure of a person's beauty? ... Is it not his nature or unbringing ... or heart which should be given time to be measured or felt before a serious relationship? ... Why such overweight men are not in Mahi's list of candidates?
Why are Mahi's eyes so much worried about only one perspective (her own one)?
Many more similar questions are those which make Mahi's innocent claim for the 'dream man' vague and unfitting, while also very mean and one-sided.
That is my curiosity at this point, with respect to all your sentiments 😊 ...
The point was not Ishaan's character ... the point was in him being Mahi's dream man.Originally posted by: Eyes-Wide-Shut
Hey, nice points and some very interesting questions you have raised.
All of us want the best for ourselves and who decides what is "best"? It's the society and media. so hot looking guy is a a guy who wears Italian leather shoes and sports an Armani suit.
Now Mahi got attracted to Ishan coz he looked "hot" but had he turned out to be a class A jerk do you think Mahi would have still liked him? I highly doubt it! Similarly the fat chadda guy from ludhiana was not brought for Mahi bcoz they were compatible....Mahi's mom could only see a fat guy.....and just bcoz he is fat, he should be good for Mahi! There was no thought given to Mahi's personality, her ambition and her dreams. For crying out loud Chaddha wanted Mahi to quit her job so she can cook for him!
Mahi's rejection of Chadda was more because they were not compatible and did not see eye to eye on major issues of life.
And as to why Mahi is self centered and looks at world from her own perspective? Well aren't we all like that? I mean isn't that they reality of life, and that's the reason I love this show....these are meaty characters with real flesh on them.
Sorry for rambling on....I hope it made sense! lol
Take care.

many girls dream of srk or other stars....so u think that is wrong too?? point is..dreams has no limit....no matter what you are...you can dream on watever you want..regardless of whether you get that or not in real life.As for Chadda ... why didnt Mahi try and look beyond his fatness? Let alone Mahi's mom ... Mahi ws always a pessimist on him...And no, we all are not so self-centered. i think we are..some accept it some dont. n besides...your own happiness matters most than others...wats the point of making others happy when you yourself are not?? not always but alteast for imp. decisions like that of marr. its better to think of what you want first and then the others. Often it is of utmost importance to consider other people's views aswell. Being self-centered might work in this serial, but in real life for a person like Mahi, life would not be so easy.. my POV.
AGREE!!
