My dear Aparna,

It is a pleasure writing these weekly posts for you and my other readers here. But I have one request, don't fail to comment on the substance of the posts. For example, do you agree with me on the Razzie award contending scenes? And on the psychological justification for the violent adult Rudra?

I would love to hear from you on these and any other points that might have interested you.

Thank you Shyamalaji for the lovely analysis and your Take 7. I'm mostly a silent reader but come to the forum to check out Arshi's bytes (which she called in the previous forum where we met), and now here I look forward to your weekly analysis. You both have amazing writing skills and thank you for giving us these good reads.

Aparna

I am with you on the Shivanand torture stuff. I have said earlier these Poland scenes appear to be the weak link in this show...besides they seem to be going nowhere..same old torture stuff. In contrast the show in banaras appears to be leaping forward at a remarkable pace.

Very Nice Ma'am. 👏 Finally, I managed to watch all the episodes this week.
I'm now waiting for the love story of Rudra-Maya to properly begin. I loved Maya n I hope they make her one of the 7 protectors ( fingers crossed ) , n make her a very strong character n give her character equal space n importance as Rudra, because most of the viewers watch only to connect with the female lead , with out whom they can not connect with the serial ( TRP chahiye ya nahi !!! 😉 ).
Plus, I want to see super hero Rudra in lover boy mode too , n wanna see how Maya brings out that side of him.
Rest I'm not much interested , frankly speaking. I want lots of maar dhar khun kharaba n mussy love scenes, bass !! 😛

My sister Maitreyee was considering another idea , what if Maya is not so dudh-ki-dhuli as she looks ?? Why'd a girl help a total n complete stranger so eagerly n quickly , with out even being asked for help , as Maimui so rightly asked ?? ( N I'm taking none of her I-lowe-to-help-all-n-sundry explanation. 🤪 ) N why'd a girl who looks quite rich by her cloths would take rent in their poor fatichaad mahalla ?? She thinks Maya may have some inner evil purpose or at all she wants some thing, may be she knows about Rudra's super powers , n frankly I think the whole of Kashi should know by now , n want a scoop for news channel or some thing ?? Why so eager to drag him ( near stranger , who tried to strangle her the previous day to boot , n she didn't seem to find that bothersome (???? !!! ) ) to Ilahabad to her house ?? N who's this mysterious unkle of hers, who's so damn powerful ??
There seems to be more to Maya than meets the eyes.
N rahi baat Rudra-ko-gussa-keu-aata-hai, I , for once, didn't find that even the least bit surprizing or shocking. The only thing that shocked me is that- others found this very-reasonable-change shocking ! 😕 😆
So I agree with your take , obviously.

Also, copy pasting from another post in the forum, where I've wriitten my non-precious two cents about Rudra-ka-Rudrarup , so that I may get your precious two cents in some more detail as to what you think . 😳
As For Maya , I , again , found her beautiful n captivating n I found her interactions with GR not just ok, but HOT.

N let's say when at the end of the episode Rudra was sitting at the Ghat he wasn't fuming , with nostrils flared ,like a mad bull or any thing, was he ? No, just a normal guy, a bit sulky n brooding, other wise his turmoil was contained in his eyes only. So , we can safely see such hysteric fits of rage comes n goes in him n they come out only when he's too much afraid of losing some1 precious again n it brings back all those traumas in his childhood in a rush.
I immediately felt connection with Maya, she'll be the calm to Rudra's storm, his anchor, his light house in wavy stormy sea. She'll complete him.
Rudra is carrying lots of wounds inside, his trauma was not adequately counselled during childhood , it there fore renders him incapable of controlling his fury at times. In real life too I've seen lots of my patients who've been victim of deep childhood trauma n loss , or "battered child" , they do stuffs like that quite often. It's often because , their need for proper n scientific counselling is ignored as children show little outer manifestations of mental trauma , but nonetheless if not scooped n curetted out in time, they carry their wounds to adulthood some times with devastating reactions. Many even become easy prey to addictions. Here thank God becoz of Maimui's gentle guidance n loving tender care n calming soothing presence in his life Rudra has none of that at least.

Hello aunty,
thanks for the PM else I would have missed it.
Last week was actually a treat. the young Sidharth was indeed awesome, which made me confused if the older version would keep up to it or not.
But yes! the adult Rudra was bang on too.
I was not so doubtful about the anger in the big Rudra. We got the glimpse of young one in various times. And to see his Maimui about to be beaten up will blow hos fuse for sure.
But Maya makes me a bit suspicious. Was she all so good as she is shown? was there a hidden mission, forced or not? Was she a part of the conspiracy made by any of the major names esp, Dr. Rao? wait and see.
The relation between the kid and Mai was indeed touching, The pain at the funeral, the fear of getting Mai hurt by his shraap, the shock of not seeing Mai when he came back and then the relief... well shown. And the nod of promise! how simple yet elegant was that!
Charles, one of the 7 garudas. I wish there comes a moment when all 7 stories are also shown because each one is important. TV usually does a habit of just highlighting the hero, heroine and villain, and that makes me happier while reading books where everyone is given importance at different times. If 7 garudas are important for the mission, they should be given importance or atleast a glimpse on screen too.
Take care of your health mam, and I am back after a weekend at home.
Kunchu.
