If Krishna wanted his sister's son 2 be heir then most probably he would had made Subhadra marry Yudi .

Marrying subhadra to arjun who is CIC & then demanding his nephew to be heir , don't make sense.

I think while Vaishampayan was narrating to Janamejay, he might have thought that this guy (Janmayey)lost his mind on getting to know about his father's killer, with lots of difficulties we calmed him, on hearing the name of his grandfather's killer, he might again get irrational so deliberately his the name
