I agree not doubt draupadi was important to krishna , he definitely had great affection 4 d lady , he participated in war 4 her & kept his promise.

What I can say if krishna himself said he keep arjun above everyone

maybe it was common for men to be affectionate to each other in those times without being seen as a romantic couple. We have dury karna too who were very attached. current times it is different. we have a certain image in our mind as to how men behave with men.

But looks like Arjun certainly preferred the company of krishna over his wifes in general.

Krishna arjun friendship is most celebrated one , in kurukshetra there r many places where krishna arjun idols r there with their position together in chariot.

Krishna janam bhoomi mandir had d same krishnaarjun chariot idol on main enterance on d top of d gate , thou arjun has nothing 2 do with krishnajanambhoomi.

Rishikesh or haridwar I guess has a very big idol of krishna giving geeta gyan & arjun sitting on knees .

Thou draupadi 2 is very important 2krishna , but still Krishnarjun r world widely admired by many.

Agreed we hear similar bonds for Arjun Krishna, Dury Karna, Kansa Banasur etc.

Such fondness in those days were probably not taken any differently but as normal affection

Do you really think Suryavanshis couldn't become emperors? They were bluer blood, Ram ji did an Ashwamedh and majority accepted his predominance. Just because Yayati said something doesn't mean that all across the country would follow that centuries later too.. He wasn't some owner of the country.

They didn't do the Yagya because they weren't capable enough, they couldn't defeat everyone

All this is confusing me TBH

Let’s start from the beginning -

Could any king declare a Vajpaye Yagya? Or Only Kurus and Panchal had the right to do it?

Krishna I believe said Arjuna was more important than his wives and kids. Nowhere did Krishna include Panchali in the list of people less important, did he?😈😆

Words are very, very cheap. Actions show the truth of feelings.

Push came to shove, Krishna took Panchali's side. Krishna never said anything about moving mountains or destroying stars for Arjuna, did he?😆 Krishna said Arjuna was important IN THE CONTEXT OF KURUKSHETRA WAR. Arjuna was needed there. AND Krishna fulfilled what he promised Panchali OVER ARJUNA'S OBJECTIONS. So who was more important? Judge by actions, not by words which have no impact.

---

P.S. for everyone else: I'm only posting this because of the deliberate snark at Panchali 😆. I do think Krishna was fond of his little buddy.

Actually while I don't have any doubts about Krishna Arjun friendship, but there are temples of Dury and Karna (with one as chief and other as co deity) where the people go to ask blessings for eternal friendship

Krishna Arjun are more as mentor mentee personifications. Their statues are found outside IIMs (at all the IIMs I have visited)

So just because others worship a duo doesn't make them more important

Yes, We are rather limited in our approach of human relationship, Individuals in Mahabharata have formed bonds beyond bloodlines

The kings in Itihas who actually declared it were not Kuru or Panchal if it answers your question(exception might be Bharat but I am not sure if he went for Vajpaye)
