After going through the descriptions about Arjuna's physical appearance, we really have an apt imagination of the valiant heroic Dhananjay . But we will be left wondering why Ved Vyas stressed again and again on his youthfulness. He continued it through out. If we calculate correctly Arjun crossed prime youth by the time they go to the forest . Still Vanaparva presents him as yuvan, Virat parva refers to him as Yuva similarly Udyogaparv, Dron parv and karn parv. If we observe carefully none of his brothers have been referred to as Yuva. Even his younger brothers. May be like Krishna who is ever youthful, Arjun also got that as he is also an incarnation of Vishnu ,We know that Arjun is Nar and Krishna is Narayan. Similarly Draupadi also is described as youthful ever in Virat parv. The fact that Jayadrath and khichak were so enamoured proves the fact. As for Arjun, Urvasi is infatuated is case in point. Another interesting point is virat's offer of uttara to Arjun who must be far older to her. There also his youthful persona worked magic.

Siva. Sivani...Bhava...Bhavani...Sankara..sankari. Iswara...Iswari...Katyayana...katyayani...Parameswara...parameswari... Mahakal..Mahakali..."...Visweswar...Visweswari...Rajeswar...Rajeswari... The great Lord Siva and Parvati has the similarity in names also. They complement each other even in the names they hold. So do our Arjun and Draupadi who are Krishna and krishnaa. She does'nt have such unity and similarity with the names of her other husbands. Point to be noted,no?

Kya baat hai, ati uttam vichar!👏 I have also given much thought to comparing Shiv/Parvati and Arjun/Drau 😲😊

As for the youth part - I think this is also quite insightful, thank you for ur research. Do you think, that even past their prime youth, they were youthful at heart? I like to think so.

Also, this isn't unreasonable. According to my IF bio I'm 115years old, but still young at heart 😉😆

The Telugu Mahabharata of the three poets describe Arjun Draupadi bond in a beautiful manner. When Arjun leaves for penance Draupadi entrusts his protection to the directions,Earth,Sky Sun and theMoon. Ninnu Dikkulu Dharaniyu Somudun...She then looks at him with immense love. As holos called Dr.Chakrapani who wrote a thesis on Draupadi in Mahabharat, A Historic Analysis, comments in his thesis that her lovelorn besotted looks at Parth was the travel allowance given to him by her that enabled him resist the infatuated advances of Urvasi and return safely to her. Parthun pratigrihita patheyun chesen. Arjun's return made her ecastic, and he gave immense pleasure to her lotus eyes and lotus like heart. Draupadi Hridaya nayananandakarudayye. The incident that describes Krishna's comment on Arjun's cheekbones when Yudhi questions is retained in this version also. Draupadi's look that expresses her unmistaken love for Arjun before Almighty is described by the same scholar in a heartening manner. Krishna is Parama Purusha, Arjun is Purusha and Draupadi is Prakriti. Hence Prakriti expressed her heart felt love for Purusha before the Paramapurusha, Krishna . Very nice expression on the soulful love of ArDi. Wanted to share with you.Let good souls enjoy the eternal love.

The Telugu Mahabharata established Drupad's earnest desire to get Draupadi married to Arjuna in a crystal clear way by telling that Drupad did the sacrifice to get a son who can kill Drona and a daughter who will marry Indra's son. When he hears about the death of Pandavas in lakshagrih, he laments thus. Indra saman una kindivara Syama sundarangunaku...I begot Draupadi to make her the queen of him, who is equal to Indra and handsome in all limbs with a beautiful dark complexion like that of a black lotus . How can I give her to others? The book Draupadi ahistoric Analysis (author) comments that the intention of Drupada became the inherent Sankar of Draupadi that made her love Arjun intensely. He attributes Draupadi's fall in Mahaprasthan to her failure of achieving samabuddhi that is needed to achieve equal outlook towards all her husbands. The reason is her preferential love for Arjun.

An excerpt from The Great Golden Sacrifice ...written by Maggi Lidchi Grassi. Situation-Udyoga Parva - Krishna Delivers Kunti's message To Her Sons. Arjuna is the Protagonist who tells the story to us. It goes thus. '. The message from my mother was that she did not want peace. Death would shock her less than the truth that Draupadi had been dragged into the Sabha. Draupadi wept quietly when she heard these words. As I watch the tears flow from her eyes I felt great shame , for if we had vowed revenge it was because our queen had been insulted. Only our mother had known what it was to be dragged before the Sabha, by her hair in her period. She knew , our mother and Krishna knew. That we should have killed Duryodhan and Dussasan there itself. I suddenly understood it was not Dussasana's blood that she wanted. She raved and sobbed because not for a moment any of us understood. Our mother understood, now for a moment, I also understood and tears welled up in me. Draupadi looked up. I had thought that I loved Draupadi from the first moment I had seen her ,sitting in the Brahmin's gallery I saw the intelligence in her proud and glowing eyes. Draupadi loved me even before she hung the garland round my neck. But it was at this moment ,as our eyes met,I came to know that it was not so much bloodshed she wanted but an understanding of her heart such as my unshed tears offered her. She was appeased and so was I. It has taken thirteen years for me to know how Draupadi wanted to be loved, and how I wanted to love her. What a strange thing marriage is. You can lie with your wife as close as a sword in a sheath ,your heart pounding with love but not knowing what love or marriage is. And one day a marriage is made with the exchange of a glance in a hall in the midst of Dozens of people and something between us is sealed." "...This particular evaluation of love and marriage done in the simplest way possible brought tears in my eyes. The way they glanced at each other and shared their feelings simply awesome and Devine. Only those who has soul connection can possibly absorb in each other in pain and love. They don't bother even though they are in the midst of a crowded Sabha , with serious discussions going on about the forthcoming war. Arjun's realisation of his love for Draupadi will help him redeem himself from his guilt of not acting when she needed him most. As for Draupadi her love for Arjun is the ultimate truth of her life. And his understanding and realisation will soothen her heart ,nothing else would work for her.Let us cherish and revel in the eternal love of our great couple.ArDi.

Very nice and poetic descriptions. However, could you club your posts into either numbers or titles? E.g Telugu descriptions of Arjun's 5 yr sojourn has got grouped with Krishn's naughty comment on Arjun's cheekbones.
Instead, I would appreciate if there are specific titles & posts/ updates for different stories. It will make individual stories stand out better.
Hope you take this suggestion in right spirit.
