ahh we both are recognizers of wonderful background artists. I was a fan of the cow back during the "divide panchaali era" and you're a fan of a tree.

🤣🤣🤣

Side Note: I haven't watched much of the episodes this week, but from what I saw, she did a nice job.

If someone doesn't believe in God why do they watch such shows??? I mean everyone has a right to not believe but why question others faith
God is someone to be realised from within not by reading books

I cannot speak for atheists who watch this show, and I know of people who do. But their views are similar to the following: I view MB as an epic very close to reality, addressing questions that have been plaguing mankind since it's earliest days, the frailties, weaknesses of human nature and the role of dharma in our lives, etc. Even though the setting and the times have changed today, these issues remain the same. I see Krishna as human, and dismiss all the miracles attributed to him, because they do not seem to have any repercussions on the narrative. For example when Krishna reveals his vishwaroop, which does have a symbolic meaning my brain has yet to fathom, does it affect the course of events in the epic in any way? No! Remove the incident and the events which follow the Vishwaroop still remain the same. That certainly does not take away from my admiration of him. MB has vedic deities and religious elements, but I view them as practices and rituals that were a part of the way of life of people of those times. So in a way I see it as a reflection of the society and way of life of people of those times.
It helps a lot in gaining insight into the significance of our traditions and culture.

I see the Bhagwad Geeta as one of the foremost philosophical texts in the world, which offers spiritual guidance. With guidance and not instruction being the important word here.

That is why, I believe, MB has universal appeal. You do not need to be a Hindu or a theist to understand it, although knowledge of Indian culture is required. The above is just a very brief explanation off the top of my mind of why MB holds immense value to me personally.

They can watch for whatever reason but they should refrain from questioning people's faith. There are more believers in this world than there are nonbelievers so they can't be all mad or victims of blind faith

Nobody here or me have questioned people's faith. I have just provided an explanation of my belief systems which I thought was relevant to prove that I am not ignorant. It is unfortunate that my statements are being misconstrued in spite of clarification. I guess I should refrain from posting here with the fear that I will offend somebody's religious sentiments unintentionally.

nandini if I speak for myself, I am really not sure whether I accept god existence or not. I am in between an atheist or theist. but I definitely I admire when I see people immense faith(which I have come to realize recently) otherwise mostly I have found most people faking the faith and worshipping materialistic stuffs without any purity of thoughts. hence this hypocrisy of many surrounding people made me allergic to religious beliefs. but yep I have come across people with real devotion too then I did change my mind abt my prejudice.
I look at mb more like a text with real life lessons in it. the characters are woven in such a beautiful manner by writer that it makes me develop my psychological understanding of human traits. also I am kimd of person who likes the fantasy world, with superpowers, divine stuffs. still second part of my mind does linger on the argument "whether this can b real or not".
in last it really doesnot matter whether this story is real or not, if I am able to get what this story teaches and i am able to impart few learnings in my real life too

After reading posts on the last page I got the impression that those who have faith are being accused of being victims of blind faith. If it was not so then it's fine, then I have no issue . Maybe I misinterpreted what was said.
You have full rights to take MB as whatever you want to take.

May I ask you something if you don't think those miracles had real bearing on the story then wouldn't Krishna have been killed when he was a baby??? Do you think a human baby can fight a woman with poisoned milk even if we grant Putna was a human too. Or a child can kill the mighty Kansa??? And who do you think opened the prison doors?? Some soldiers of Kansa??? Or wouldn't Draupadi be really disrobed if there hadn't been a miracle

I am not asking all this to change your opinion. That's not my intension. I really want to know what is your take on this and how the story would have gone on without those miracles
