It was dhram yudh becoz kauravas lost,if duri had to become yuvraj of hastinapur ,he would have continued adharma ,which would continue till years until his son becomes king, then so on.And also as krishna said duri & co are far from realising their mistakes ,the basic help to be given to such people to kill, that will stop them from doing more cruel thing and then going into new body, new birth.
Thats why i guess its called dharm yudh.

Good question something that has no definite answer in my view
it seems as if everyone was implicated based on the principles of justice and the king responsibility towards his subjects who were equally tied to the royals in turn not just what seemed like merely a family quarrel. but every injustice that brought duryodhan into power was intended to be addressed, every sin, was accounted for but what continues to baffle me is the fact that duryodhan was supposedly a good ruler, that it does feel problematic to assign the tag of evil/sinful to duryodhan alone. Bad actions were being commited left right centre from all parties -maybe some sort of cosmic balance in the world was restored by eliminating the kauravs in those 18 days of war, we might argue about the futility of war that claims lives or believe theres a very delicate line that dictates the fate of earth, and that the men were being liberated in death to the otherworld, the more i think on it the more confused a state im left in

Cool!!! 😈

Had the Russkies known that this is what the Gita was, they'd probably not have banned it 😈🤣

Actually they haven't maintained the same jet speed in all the tracks. Some tracks have been stretched unnecessarily, while a lot have been skipped.

Even I consider the war as a fight for personal justice, and not for any greater good of mankind. Starbharat has misinterpreted the Dharmayuddh concept in my opinion. Here is a link to the thread where I have elaborated more on that point: https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/mahabharat/3985032/kurukshetra-war-a-personal-war-of-justice-was-revenge-earlier

The epic MB illustrates the widespread destruction caused by and the futility of war in it's aftermath described in the Shanti Parva.

As for Krishna supporting the Pandavas in war, I think it was mainly due to his kinship with Pandavas and his close friendship with Arjun. Note that his Narayani Sena was taken over by the Kauravas in war.

Before the war, Krishna had good reasons to associate himself with the Pandavas-the major one being bringing down Jarasandh, one of the most powerful kings in India at that time and who had driven out the Yadavas from their kingdom at Mathura to the island city of Dwarka. A more elaborate post on this can be found here: https://www.quora.com/Mahabharata/Why-is-Lord-Krishna-called-the-master-of-finesse-in-the-Mahabharat/answer/Vedang-Manerikar

I watched the final moments of the Gitopadesha and not surprisingly, this too was messed up
The serial made it seem that the Vishwaroop darshan was a climax of sorts and Arjuna got into battle mode just after that. But actually the Vishwaroop darshan takes place some where midway-the 11 chapter.

After that comes the all important Bhakti Yoga, the Purushotama Yoga, the chapter describing the three gunas, etc.

And during the Vishwaroopa Arjuna falls at Krishna's feet, seeking forgiveness because he Arjuna had treated him Krishna as his friend and equal. It would have been nice if the serial had shown this too.

There was no plan to capture Yudhisthira in Bhishma parva. I find it hard to tolerate these automatically appearing arrows. I prefer a quiver.

And also he said that he was not able to tolerate the celestial energy being given off by the Supreme and so,requested him to show his peaceful Chaturbhuji Roop .

Also, when they showed the Vishwaroop opening his mouth,I thought they would show the God swallowing all the warriors of both the sides after which Arjun got ready to wield the weapons against his cousins and other relatives.

Ya,it is in the 10th Chapter,if I rem, in which he tells his presence in all the supreme beings of a particular class of things or organisms.
