Maybe he used his eyes to see there were 5 of them, one being tallest and bulkiest there and his ears to listen and recognise the voice of Arjuna... [😃]

Karna's encounter with Arjuna was always bitter , both were insulting, taunting , mocking and competing with each other

then how come Karna's flashback of that brahmin young man thanking him , giving him affectionate look and smile and almost starting loving him made Karna sure that it was Arjuna?😕
