I am directly copy pasting , You can agree or dis-agree with the points they stated. They said that their version of MB is the original version which was composed by Ved Vyas.

He wrote a paragraph with the evidence from the original text of Mahabharata... in support of Star Plus' Mahabharata... He said that whatever they are showing is authentic to a great extent with genuine evidence.
But he wrote in tough English so we are posting his comment in a simpler way: by points:
1) Indian young people know laptop, Microsoft and want desperately to live in America. But most of them do not know much about Mahabharata. They hear so many things from different sources and build a misconception.
2) So, without knowing anything clearly they criticize Star Plus' amazing attempt to display the greatest epic. SO, without knowing anything clearly criticizing is unethical.
3) People who really have read the ORIGINAL TEXT are not criticizing this show. Rather, they are praising Star Plus for their wonderful creativity.
4) For example: We didn't know the inner dilemma of Drona when he was compelled to cut Eklavya's thumb. But Star plus interpreted and perceived the incident. They showed what actually Drona felt at that moment.
5) With evidence from the original text: Young generation have developed a misconception about Karna, whether he was a better person than Arjuna or not.
6) In the original text it is written that Karna was a charitable person and he was loyal to somebody who gave him recognition.
7) But what a good friend does? A good friend tries to show his friend the right path and honesty. This was not the case. Karna never tried to show Duryodhan the right path.
8 ) Vikarna criticized his brother Duryodhan in public for molesting Draupadi but Karna didn't criticize him for a moment also.
9) Think again friends, read the original text. It is because of Karna, Duryodhan felt so powerful. He kept doing wrong things and Karna supported him so he felt secured.
10) Karna suffered a lot in his lifetime because of his own unethical and dishonest action. (Written in the Original text) SO, there is no point of showing sympathy to a fallen person. Rather, get yourself enlightened and try to accept the truth.
11) Karna was charitable but on the other hand he was a big failure to bring Duryodhna back to the right path.
12) On the contrary, Arjun is considered to be an honorable hero by Ved Vyas, scholars, different saints. He had extreme compassion for common men so he refused to lift his weapon against his teachers.
13) For Arjun we got Bhagavad Gita, the most sacred text of the whole world.
14) Again a request to all of you: people who didn't read the original text, read it and have correct conception about Arjuna and other characters. DO not get blinded by misleading talks and ideas.
Hope after reading this all of you will be able to understand our new Show correctly... Kudos to the Director...
