Since I've not watched the old Mahabharat and I being a non-Hindu I can't differentiate between fiction and the real story. But,when I read the comments on IF I feel like punching both SP and CVs. But,then I still watch because it's much better than the other shows.

I have realised what I am like.

If anyone watched Baa Bahoo Aur Baby, and Arvind who always went HAH! all the time. This is what I do whenever something dumb is shown on the serial.

What does everyone else do? 😆

I do the following -

- Wha..what the hell 😲

- bang bang my head on the wall

- crib and whine

- come to IF and share it with everyone

- read the mixed reactions here

- realise it might not be so bad after all

- take it with a pinch of salt

- return to watch the next days episode with a renewed hope

Nowadays, I read the WU, and then if I feel like watching, I watch. Actually, now ⭐️Utsav has started telecasting it as well, but I'm watching the one on ⭐️Jalsa, where Drona has just asked for his dakshina. So w/ the thing running on different channels, I can watch depending on which stage I find the most appealing. Or appalling 😆

I know comparisons are not allowed, or else, I'd have asked people to rank this serial, KMHK, DBSK and JSK in terms of fiction content 😈

I didn't mind the fiction on JSK as much. It did annoy me at times like the stupid Anishtasur and Keshni and all the other rubbish like Yashoda kidnapping Krishna blegh.

But when they made up stories like the mother in law who hated her daughter in law for not having children, or the tortured old lady, etc. I thought "if people of Gokul were like this they would NEVER have been graced by the Lord's baal leela" however then I thought "perhaps they're showing important social messages through the medium of Lord Krishna, let them."

However this Starbharat isn't even showing important social messages through their fiction. Their fiction is just rubbish. I never saw DBSK. I wanted to, but was gonna wait till the end. As they ended it half way, I can't be bothered to watch it.

If this show enlightens gyan in people it's good I suppose. I just hope people bother to show their children the real story after the show is over.

I think I'm the same, except I go HAH instead of banging my head on the wall 😆

It's nice that you feel the anger towards SP on our behalf 😳 😆

A different question struck me...

So far, the flow had been going on events in Hastinapur, up to Drupada's defeat. Now, this is probably the time Krishna's wars w/ Jarasandha were still on, so by showing Kalyavan now, they've got the time frame right, even if showing Subhadra & Arjun w/ him is bakwas.

However, if the CVs wanted to move from Hastinapur to Mathura/Dwarka, would that have sustained the interest of people here? Or would it be a case of missing Shaheer/Arav/Aham et al and enjoying SRJ/Pallavi? In other words, if they show Krishna's story in MB - including the part that's not in it, like these events, would that retain your interest?

Note that in the MB, Krishna first appears @ Draupadi's swayamvara. In SB, Krishna & Balarama are on their way to Hastinapur after Saytabhama's marriage, and they hear about the house of lac. Balarama accompanies Duryodhan to Mithila & teaches him there, while Satyabhama's father Satrajit is murdered, and Satyabhama comes to Krishna for justice, and he goes after Satadhandva, Kritavarma & Akrura. In other words, it's a hit & miss, but at least, SB puts a reference b/w events in Hastinapur & Dwarka.

Arjun is in no way involved in Krishna's first 3 marriages, but he did help Krishna get Kalindi. He was there to help Krishna take away Satya, and he lost to Krishna in Lakshmanaa's swayamvara, which was almost identical to Draupadi's, except that the fish couldn't be directly seen.

I suppose they're not making it up ENTIRELY.

Just mixing and matching events.

The only stupid things have been Brihanalla and Chakravyuh so far. More stupid than everything else.
