This whole dishum dishum is annoying and getting out of hand.

Bheem has the strength of 100 elephants. How can someone with no training and a child cause Bheem a struggle when it comes to fighting? Bheem could crush Dhuryodhan under his foot.

Justlikethat1 good update!

I agree with what you said about the prince's revealing what they become later. I also felt that with the episode yesterday when Drona asked them what they see when he asks them to shoot the bird's eye.

Yudhistir answered with everyone's wellbeing at mind. Ashwatthama showed his Ahenkar and arrogance. Dhuryodhan just thought he could do anything (all talk no walk). 😆

Bheem did have an upper hand for most part of the fight.I only feel that there were too much of special effects in the fight which wasnt required

Bheem and Duryodhan were equally matched at most times. One reason is because Dhridhrashtra was a very strong man and his son inherited those genes.. Bheem was always given a very strong contention by Duryodhan.. Even Balram tells Krishna that it would be difficult to say who had the upper hand.

Manojie, thank you😛

The 1 minus is just because it was not an extraordinary episode.. It was not ordinary either. What the heck, I am just reserving the 10 for something extremely good. But otherwise, this episode was it.. Suspense, thrill, humor, fight, action, revenge and unity.. You name it and you get it in this episode.😊

The kids continue their education and the scenarios that were shown were extremely well done. Not just that, it shows a glimpse of how these Princes will grow up to be in their later lives.
Hats off to the MB team👏 I love how they are showcasing the various basic natures of the characters. It will be very useful to understand the actions of these Yodhas going forward.

So let me start with Yudhistir.. I consider Yudhistir to be one of the most underrated kings ever. His one action and mistake of putting his brothers and wife as gamble in a game of dice made him the most under estimated character in MB. But this one mistake will not take away what Yudhistir was..

He was a prince and King who was beyond wise and intelligent for his age. He was also humble and had good common sense that becomes a king. And that was showcased beautifully in 2 instances today.

The talk about war and what one should do when the enemy is weak, or strong.. The answers tell us all..

Bheem thinks that there is none stronger but like Drona pointed out, strong is just not being strong physically. It is more than that. But it showed how Bheem is already proud of his strengths and has a one line vision on things. He would probably remain the same throughout except at rare occasions like when Hanuman makes him humble.😉

Then there is Ashwathama.. Like I wrote yesterday, if there is a coward in MB, then there is Ashwathama.. His explanation about conquering the weaker foe and surrendering or mediating a peace with the stronger one explains the actions he would take later in life. It is also apparent that Ashvathama considers this answer to be the best given😕

Duryodhan, true to nature just wants to destroy the foe, strong or weak.. No thought process there..

But it is Yudhistir who makes us think. I loved his answer and explanation.. Befriend the weak. They will remain true and grateful with respect. Face the strong enemies. That shows your bravery and also makes sure that we are not considered as weaklings.. A boy who will turn out to be a king.. Drona was impressed. And so was I😆

The next instance of Yudhistir's sense and calm is when he asks Bheem not to try coming out of the quicksand. "It will only take you in" he says and wants Bheem not to move.. This quick thinking to contain the situation is really gratifying to see..

But this is not all..
The best in my opinion though was the way the 5 brothers helped each other in face of adversities. Bheem was there protecting Nakul and Sahadev from Dushasan who was being a bully. Nakul and Sahadev did their best for Bheem and stood up to the truth with Drona. Yudhistir was calm and composed showing real presence of mind and Arjun, Arjun got Bheem a lifeline.. The brothers together got Bheem out of trouble.. Amazing how this unity will hold till the end..

The calm Yudhistir, the loyal and fierce Bheem, the quick thinking Arjun with their younger brothers who do their bit of the work would remain a force to reckon till the end.

Duryodhan, Dushasan and Ashwanthama have formed a team and are upto no good. I liked the way Duryodhan and Bheem fought. Well done kids⭐️

Now Ashwanthama is very proud of his skills as an archer. Eklavya is already better than Ashvathama.. Arjun on the other hand is fast becoming the best archer around.. I will not go into debates on who was better, Eklavya or Arjun.. I do not think we would every know. They never faced off and I would not dare comment on the skills based on hypothetical viewpoints.

But I loved how the suspense was built.. The skill of shooting the arrow by just listening to the sound. The target hits that seem to be as perfect as that of Arjun's.. A nicely built episode for what is to come next. Loved the suspense. It was not drawn out and nor was it too quick😆 I think that the chapter of Eklavya will close this friday when Drona decides to get his Guru Dakshina.

And finally, an 👏 for the actor playing Arjun. I was not convinced about his close up shots yesterday but there is this one moment today when I wanted to applaud this little guy. It is when he looks at Drona after firing that awesome shot on his moving target. The pleasure, the confidence, the respect for Drona, the humbleness, all came out well and left one smiling. well done child⭐️

So a very good episode for me. I may even watch it again.. The story is picking up pace and has you wanting more😃

Thanks for the lovely update. Loved your inputs 😃 Will try and catch the epi later.

Just watched last night's episode b/w cricket, and honestly, it was simply bakwas - not due to the fiction, but rather the depiction of the comparative strengths of Bhima, his brothers, Duryodhan, Dushashan & Nakul

First of all, Bhima's antics - making the Kauravas fall - was something he did as a kid, but likely wouldn't have dared do @ gurukul. Then again, there is no way Dushashan was stronger than either Nakul or Sahadev. But even more ridiculous - showing Bhima & Duryodhan well matched in strength. In reality, the only thing Duryodhan became good @ later, courtesy Balarama, was gada yudh, and during the 13 years of Pandava exile, he constantly practiced that on a statue of Bhima, and that made him unbeatable. Otherwise, Duryodhan was a very mediocre fighter in every way, and in war, easily defeated by the likes of Drupada, Drishtadyumna & even Yudhisthir. Nakul or Sahadev too would have had no problems against him.

Also remember that after his encounter w/ Vasuki, Bhima had the strength of 70 or whatever many elephants. There was no way Duryodhan was even close. If there was a wrestling match b/w them, Duryodhan would have lasted about as long as Dushashan did here.

Also, Bhima was stronger than his other 4 brothers put together - when Arjun brought down the branch of a tree & the 4 brothers pulled Bhima out, there is no way that would have happened - if anything, they would have been dragged in. Remember, after Varnavarta, Bhima took Kunti and all his brothers on his shoulders & walked when they all were exhausted. For that to have happened, he'd have had to weigh more than all of them combined. So had they tried dragging him out of a swamp, they'd have been the ones dragged in.

The other stuff - Yudishthir came up w/ a good rationale of making treaties w/ those weaker than you, while displaying your bravery on those stronger. But on the latter, I wonder what cousin dear Krishna would think of that, given how he had Bhima & Arjun accompany him singly to Magadha, rather than allow Yudisthir to wage a war against Magadha. After Jarasandha's death, the Pandavas were encouraged to wage wars against all other rulers in the run up to the Rajasuya yagna.

The Ekalavya part was interesting. I just loved how Ashwatthama's arrow was broken by Ekalavya when he launched an attack on who he thought to be Arjun 😆 One thing - Ashwatthama didn't have the shabdbedi ban - in the MB, the only people who had it were Krishna, Arjun & Karna (that's how Karna killed the Brahmin's cow)

But in this Ekalavya incident, while I blame Drona for his cruelty, I disdain Arjun in this case as well for being obsessed about being #1 archer to the extent that others have to be disabled in order to enable his goal. As it is, Arjun was never the #1 archer - it was Krishna, or if one wants to ignore that, it was Arjun's son Babruvahana.

I'll skip tomorrow - no way do I want to see Ekalavya's thumb get severed 🤢

@Vrish

I would definitely refrain from commenting on the authenticity of the various situations that happened in the Gurukul but I think the basic need to show them was to just showcase a few things.

1. Duryodhan - Bheem fight was shown to depict the enemity between these two cousins in particular right from their childhood. The fact also remains that even if Bheem was the stronger one and he most certainly was, Bheem had yet to learn about the techniques of fighting.. In a fight, it is not just who is the strongest that matters at all times. And it was shown that Duryodhan could gain the upper hand only by cheating. Duryodhan did not overthrow Bheem. He was losing the fight anyway.

2. Nakul and Sahadev Vs. Dushashan - This I think was more to showcase Bheem's loyalty and fierce protectiveness towards his siblings. Bheem would be there to protect his siblings against one and all.. He stood by them and for them at all times.

3. Bheem being pulled out of the quicksand - I do not think that the weight of the person in the quicksand matters much in this instance. If we are to say that only the weight of the person would have pulled the others in, then the same would be true for fire fighters and army personnel of today who do rescue operations. It is not how heavy or light that matters but the technique of the rescuers. I am sure the Pandavas would have managed that pretty well😊

4. Yudhistir's answer about enemies and war - Do you think that Yudhistir would apply this to every situation and every war? No. Basically the answer just showed that Yudhistir would not unnecessarily crush a weakliing just because the person was weak.. He would also give them a fair chance. Similarly, Yudhistir would not be a coward either. He would fight when it became absolutely necessary. His answer highlights his character as a just man more than anything else. He was not a bully, nor was he a man with a weak heart.

5. Bheem making the Kauravas fall - Bheem did have a very naughty and sometimes cruel streak in him when it came to the Kauravas. He would surely have done that if he had got a chance. Now is there any proof of this actual event happening is something I cannot vouchsafe for. I will accept your words and I am sure that this is something imagined.

Again, I do not say that these scenarios have any authenticity as such. But I think that they were more to showcase the basic natures of the princes and the equation between the cousins more than anything else.
